Redknapp eyes Andrea Dossena

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to move for Liverpool outcast Andrea Dossena if the Italy left-back's move to Napoli fails.
The 27-year-old left back, who signed for Liverpool from Udinese in a £7million switch a year ago, is keen on a return to his homeland, but the £4.5m switch to Napoli has been held up over a wages dispute.
Napoli's director of sport Pierpaolo Marino admits there was deadlock over personal terms. 'We have taken a break in order to reflect on this,' said Marino. 'The move is on hold. There are no immediate prospects.

'The president has spoken to Rafael Benitez and there is some distance between us and the player. But I wouldn't worry too much.'
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is wary he could lack options at left-back if he loses Gareth Bale, who has been linked with a move to Italy.

if we was to sign a left back i'd probably go for taye taiwo as dossena wont improve us att all.

I'd MUCH rather stick with Benny... other realistic options seems to be this M'bengue from Toulouse or Stephen Warnock. Heinze is on his way to Marseille... Taiwo available?

Taiwo is great offensively but I'm still not convinced by him defensively. I'd rather we have Stephen Warnock.
