AC Milan are reportedly weighing up a move for out of favour Tottenham full-back Gareth Bale after coach Leonardo admitted he is still looking to bring in a defender and striker to the San Siro this summer.

According to reports emanating from Italy, the Rossoneri are considering a swoop for Bale, 20, in a bid to solve their problem left-back position following Paolo Maldini's decision to finally bring the curtain down on his illustrious 23-year career.

The Wales international, who has also been linked with a move to Dutch giants Ajax after his former manager Martin Jol admitted his penchant for the talented youngster, has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane following the arrival of Harry Redknapp and would undoubtedly relish the prospect of getting his career back on track in Italy.

I want Bale to stay.

Play him at LM for the whole season ffs. He is a great cross, good passer, isnt the slowest on the pitch... Gio Dos Santos and Rose can come on for him at the 60 minute mark!! If BAE gets injured, Bale can push back!

If we sell Bale we will regret it.
The kid's only just turned 20 ffs. It doesnt make sense to sell him at such an early stage in his career when he clearly has a lot of talent.
Same goes for Giovani dos Santos.

Keep him and watch him develop. He'll come good. I agree about using him as LM! His defensive capabilities are suspect but he's got other areas which could be put to better use should we use them in the midfield!

After signing Mr Lanky beanpole, if we now sell Bale, thaty would be it for me. I would have had it with Mr Redknapp and would seriously wonder what he is trying to achieve.

Bale has unfortunately been labled as having potential.

Now spurs have an illustrious history of wrecking players careers especially if they show early signs of greatness or potential.

I dont think him or gds should be sold under any circumstances but loans and short ones at that would not be the worst thing in the world at all.

These loan deals can sour the milk between manager and player though as they are effectively being told that they aint up to scratch.

I couldnt immagine gds being very appreciative of his loan spell at ipswich or the prospect of another one after playing well in that cup thing he's just ripped up.
