Hull City Keen On Loan Move For Tottenham Hotspur's Pascal Chimbonda - Report
The French full-back could be on his way out of White Hart Lane this summer...
26 Jul 2009 09:27:59
Hull City are the latest club to emerge as a potential destination for Tottenham Hotspur defender Pascal Chimbonda.
Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers have already been linked with the Frenchman this summer.
And now the Tigers are thought to be interested in taking Chimbonda to the KC Stadium on a season-long loan for the upcoming Premier League campaign, according to a report in The People.
Chimbonda originally arrived at White Hart Lane from Wigan Athletic in 2006 but, after an indifferent spell with Sunderland, the right-back returned to the club under manager Harry Redknapp in January of this year.
He has since failed to play his way back into the Spurs first team and with the arrival of Kyle Naughton adding to the competition for places on the right-hand side of defence, Chimbonda could soon be looking for a new club.
Redknapp would be more likely to favour a permanent transfer for Chimbonda, as he looks to raise the funds to bring new faces into the setup in north London.
Hull boss Phil Brown does need a full-back, after the sale of Sam Ricketts to Bolton Wanderers yesterday.

COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
Can anybody enlighten me on why we ever got this bloke back from sunderland?
It was a knee jerk signing due to injuries to Corluka and Hutton at the turn of the year i think mate.
Not sure a loan deal is going to be benificial to Spurs tbh. We could do with the £3m-5m we would get for a straight transfer. Cant see Harry having too much time for this offer imo.
"There's a fine line between madness and genius - God removed that line and replaced it with Gazza"
so we gonna go from having 4 right backs (gorluka, gunter, chimbo and hutton) to having just gorluka who looks like he gonna have to fill in at centre back and naughton. what back ups have we got after those two!?
We need to rebuild our CB position properly because relying on the injury twins woody and King is become farcical.

Please let this happen, hes a vile player which offers nothing to the team.
Blackburn Rovers Chasing Tottenham Hotspur Defender Pascal Chimbonda – Report
Rumours suggest that Spurs' French defender is being targeted by Premier League rivals Blackburn...
27 Jul 2009 15:35:12
Blackburn Rovers are looking into the possibility of signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Pascal Chimbonda, according to reports.
The 30-year-old French international has been linked with another move away from White Hart Lane in recent times.
Chimbonda initially joined Tottenham in 2006 from Wigan Athletic but after having fallen out of favour at the club, the versatile defender opted to join Sunderland last year.
The former Bastia star then decided to return to Spurs in January this year, but after failing to cement his place in the team, Sky Sports News is now suggesting that the Guadeloupe-born full-back is wanted by Sam Allardyce at Blackburn Rovers.
'Big Sam' has made no secret of his desire to strengthen his squad this summer and reports are claiming that Chimbonda could be at the top of his wanted list.
