harry has finally lost his patience with levy over transfer moneys. he's angry at levy's reluctance to sell players for a loss and had a heated conversation in which he told levy he must wake up to the fact that spurs have repeatedly overspent on players who have then underperformed and thus can only be sold for less. harry main concern is that he dose not want a repeat of previous transfer windows with spurs making signings on or close to the deadline and thus having no time for players to bed down.

levy apparently was receptive to harry and this should now pave the way for spurs summer spending to gather momentum. over the next week there could be a flurry of movement with spurs accepting bids for bent (£14mill), jenas (£7mill), hutton (£6mill), pavylechenko (£11million), bentley (£10mill) and huddlestone (£6million).

Harry then hopes to wrap uo deals for crouch (£10mill), huntelaar (£18mill), distin (£3.5mill), viera (free), and young (£27.5mill)

Looks good business to me and i'm glad that someone has finally given some reality check to levy over his rigid (and ludicrous) pricing of players

lets hope this is true, and not media hype. we need to get moving on sorting the side out, even though i don't want to lose some of the players listed. I trust harry knows what he is doing.

if its true i am 100% behind harry on this and i think that every sane spurs fan would be too, your never gonna make a profit if a player has underperformed for you, its time to get rid of bent, bentley etc and get some quality in huntelaar, young etc

How can you say bent underproformed when he scored more goals then anyone else for us? I'm also pretty sure he was one of the most scoring English players in the league.
He also scored goals where they mattered. 1-1 draw againist Chelsea at the start of the season? Without that it would hve been 1 point from eight games... Just be honest with you self, you just dint like him as he is darren bent...

if i remember rightly mate wasn't it Bent's sliced clearance that lead to Chelsea's goal in that same match

m8 ill give you 5 reasons why darren bent underperformed:

      1. at the start of the season bent was the only one scorin goals, if defoe or keane wer there they would've scored his goals and probably more, believe me

      2. most of his goals are tap-ins

      3. he barely aims when he scores the goals and he misses most of his chances

      4. he doesnt do anything for the team and never tracks back

      5. he runs in straight lines and is easy to catch out for a defender

If true this would be great news, the only player I would be dissapointed to see go is JJ..... I know he gets some stick but I think he's worth keeping just for the fact he always scores against the goons.......

Then again if it meant getting young i'd pretty much sell anyone apart from Wilson and Modric

Distin is already going to Villa according to recent reports.
Huntelaar has all but signed for Stutgart and Spurs will have to move NOW to sign him.
Young is an absolute no goer as the Chavs and Madrid want him added to Villa's reluctance to sell will make it almost impossible to bag him.
Viera is the only likely signing from that lot and he is free.

I am glad Harry has put his foot down if its true. We miss out on too many targets due to being toooooo bloody slow every single year. We have missed out on Cana and posibly Huntelaar already so its about time Levy pulled his bloody finger out.

Stutgart have cancelled negotiations with Huntelaar, Theres nothing solid behind the Distin rumours AS OF YET. These two could be goers (and if we are signing crouch we better be signing a first choice striker aswell !!!!). I agree with you on Young, however at the price quoted i think think they will let him go. Oneil did say that young was a 30million £ player.

I dunno, i am just in a really bad mood about Crouch!

We do need to buy another CF and a CB straight away imo.

Defoe, Keane, Crouch and Huntelaar looks strong and if you say Huntelaar has stalled talks with VFB then it looks as though he may be holding out for Harry to sign him. Fingers crossed mate.
(I am not Crouch's biggest fan either mate but i am willing to give him a chance before passing judgement.)

Also reading in todays press, Villa are willing to pay £12m for JJ. Why not respond with an offer of JJ, Bentley and £10m for Young? That adds up to around the £30m mark, we can see how serious O'Neill is about his star player then.

As for a CB i really dont know. Its going to be a player like Bassong or Dunne i think. They could do a covering job until Daws, Woody and King are fit at least.
