Spurs signs young Prince

TOTTENHAM Hotspur has signed Germany Under-21 midfield player Kevin-Prince Boateng from German Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin.
Boateng, 20, becomes Spurs manager Martin Jol's sixth signing of a busy close-season at White Hart Lane. The club has not revealed the fee or length of contract, but Hertha is believed to have received around £5 million ($11.9 million).
Jol had already signed Darren Bent, Gareth Bale, Younes Kaboul, Adel Taarabt and Danny Rose as he tries to fashion Spurs into a team capable of finishing in the top four of the English Premier League.
The Dutchman believes Boateng is another valuable addition.
"Kevin is a talented player who plays for the under-21 side of his country," Jol said.
"You could compare him with the likes of Aaron Lennon and Tom Huddlestone in that he is an exciting player for now and the future.
"He is an attacking midfield player, very strong, and that is one of his main assets.
"In Germany, he is regarded as one of the biggest talents.
"We recognised this and went in for him."
Boateng admitted that Tottenham's attractive and attacking style football helped to persuade him to move to north London.
"For me it is amazing to be in England," Boateng said.
"To be in London and playing for Spurs will be great for me. It has been my ambition to play in England, I am 20 now and am about to quickly realise my dream.
"I know that Spurs are a team who like to play offensive football. The club want to climb higher next season and I want to be a part of it.
"I watched the premier league regularly in Germany. It is the most famous league in the world and I have always enjoyed it."

I would compare him to gerrard and viera.
the only thing, that coul be a problem is his personality. it is not always easy to get along with him since he lacks some humility.
today he married his fiancee jenny. makes him hopefully more mature in the future :5:
Think Martin Jol can train him with the personality problem he seems to have a magic touch when it comes to players like that, or it could be because he looks like the godfather and he scares them lolthe only thing, that coul be a problem is his personality. it is not always easy to get along with him since he lacks some humility.
I am looking forward to see him playing...I hope he will become a usefull player for us!
TOTTENHAM FOR EVER!!!
another waste signing who hasn't had much impact
You know. Hindsight is 20/20.
Maybe you should comment on some of the newer threads, instead of badmouthing signings we have already made.
