Time to get rid of some of that dead wood. Let Villa spend thier money on AG then they wont have anything left to buy Defoe. I must admit with the squad we have now is getting very hard to pick a starting 11 for the 1st game of the season. Its been a long time since we had that problem. COYS :10:

We can let Gardner go. The sooner the better. We have Ledley, Daws, Rocha and Kaboul which means gardner won't have a look in.

First team will be hard to choose but I'm sure Jol will get it right.

Don't know when Ledley or Lennon will be fit and how bad Bale's injury is, but we'll see come August.

Have to agree mate i think gardners reached his top level for us and think it would be a good move to sell him now while he's still worth a little something, we've got alot of young defenders coming through the youth squad too so they will soon be competing too.

This is the best team ive seen spurs have for a very VERY long time this season i think we are going to shock a lot of teams, must say thou Man U have spent money and on good players cant see anyone catching them this season

Still sad to see him go. He's peformed well when he's been called on, but you're right he's probably reached his best and it's not at the level we need to break the top 4!
Europa League, sounds like a Japanese car to me!

My most fond memory of Gardner was a few seasons ago - can't remember exactly..... probably about four years ago? Home game against West Ham and I caught the latter part of the game in my hotel in a little place called Zwolle in The Netherlands..... yo-yo game, think it was stood at 2-2, Gardner picks the ball up, runs forward, smashes it, 3-2! Bingo!

Other than that, he's really just been there for cover. And given the defensive options in that position, something's gotta give.
