Juventus Eye Tottenham Hotspur Defender Gareth Bale - Report
The energetic Welsh international has caught the attention of the Bianconeri...

Over the past few weeks, Juventus officials have promised reinforcements in the summer and it appears one of the names on their shortlist is Tottenham defender Gareth Bale, according to Tuttosport.
The 19-year-old is considered a hot prospect in Europe and the Bianconeri are reportedly interested in bringing him to the club to compete for the left-back position with Cristian Molinaro and Paolo De Ceglie.
However, the Italian based club will have to fend off interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United, who have also been impressed by the former Southampton player.
As a possible replacement, Spurs are considering a move for Real Madrid's Gabriel Heinze. The Argentine international has already had a stint in England, playing for Manchester United between 2004 and 2007.
Bale has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the north London based outfit this season.

Strange that he's appealing to Italians. I thought they liked good defenders!

Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!
Rafael, Van Der Vaart
ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old
COYSAFOYS
Get rid of him asap!
The kid has proved that he is far too much of a liability and will never be good enough to play for Spurs.

If they want to waste their money on him then let them.
I think it will do him the power of good - and probably us too
I suppose he hasnt been good for us this season but it was going to be hard for him after a good start then getting that injury. Really dunno what to do with this one as I feel he may come good.
disagree
correct me if im wrong but hes still a teenager
he wuz the best player for wales against finland IMO
left sided player - we are cryin out for lefties
free kick taker - with bentleys future uncertain Bale becomes more important besides its good to have left and right footed free kick takers
has massive potential - otherwise the big clubs wouldnt be intersted in him
still think hes in harrys plans as though he hasnt had much game time of late he hasnt bin loaned out like many of our other youngsters which would suggest he is on the cusp of selection
absolutely useless. if theyre comin in with 5 mill then get rid.
I'm sick and tired of hearing about how young he is and how he still has bags of potential. If you're good enough you're old enough. He's currently a liability to us and I don't care how good he may become in the future but we need to worry about what will affect us in the present. If 'Arry can get him back to what he was like then happy days, but if he can't then he needs to go and we need to bring in someone else.
To be fair to Bale, he looked pretty good before that injury that kept him out of majority of the 07/08 season. If he can rediscover that form he will be well worth hanging on to.
