Swiss striker Frei, who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund, has revealed that Spurs have tried to approach him.

“I’m quite happy at Dortmund. The fans are happy with me, but the problem is that I’m not considered a starter by the coach,” Frei said.

“I have been approached by Napoli, PSG and Tottenham.”
Personally I think its wishful thinking onhis part because I don't really rate the guy & he is certainly not what Spurs should be looking at. (Unless it was a while ago, probably Comolli!)
      King and Bongani,

Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!

      Rafael, Van Der Vaart

Napoli - Average team that hardly ever set the serie A alight.

PSG - No where near as good as they used to be. Lyon and Marseille are way better.

Spurs - Real potential to push for top 6 or 4 every season, providing we buy wisely.

I think the Spurs rumour is indeed a backlash from those dark comolli days. PSG and Napoli are interested because Frei suits there level of ambition at this time and he would fit right in.
Absolutely not the type of player Spurs need right now.
