Newcastle United Set For Summer Swoop For Tottenham's Huddlestone - Report
Reports on Tyneside suggest that the former England Under-21 international could be set to switch north London for the North East.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone is reportedly a summer transfer target for Newcastle United - who allegedly had a January bid for the player rejected - according to Tyneside newspaper The Newcastle Chronicle.
Toon assistant manager Chris Hughton, a former Spurs stalwart as a right-back during his own playing days, and a man who worked closely with Huddlestone as Martin Jol's assistant at White Hart Lane, is a known admirer of the deep-lying playmaker, renowned for his pinpoint passing.
Hughton apparently recommended the 22-year-old to manager Joe Kinnear, currently away from the club as he recovers from heart surgery, as a potential solution to the club's midfield shortages, but the Toon's attempt to sign the player on loan for the rest of the season ended in frustration.
Should Newcastle manage to stave off relegation to the Championship, by no means a given at this stage of the season, then they are expected to return to Spurs in the summer with an offer to take the player permanently.
Huddlestone, although not blessed with great pace, has superb vision and passing ability, and is also versatile, having also played at centre-back. Newcastle may face competition for his signature from Everton and Fulham though, and former Spurs manager Martin Jol at SV Hamburg is also a known admirer.

I cant see Hudds wanting to step down to the Championship next season....lol
Given the title of this thread I'd have to say that, with Hudd's sped, they wouldn't have to chase hard to catch him!![]()
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!
good anything over 7m bye bye fat boy
hudd and newcastle brown ale what a conbination i think he would be ringing fern brittan within a month asking where she got her gastric band from hee eheee
You guys are mean
Its soo frustrating having a player in the squad who can drop a ball onto a 1 pence peice from 60 yards, but takes an hour to run there and cant bend down to pick up the penny when hes done.
You have got me doing it now.![]()

he's got so much ability its a joke, and at a club like everton or fulham, where he's surrounded by players with limited talent but good work rates he'd probably do really well... hes not the right man for us right now, so all the best to him if he does go.
"although not blessed with great pace"
If ever there was an understatement...
"There's always next year..."
When i look at Hudd's on the pitch his legs dont seem to match the top half of his body = it looks like 2 straws hanging through a loft hatch . A bit like one of those fisher price men .
LOL kev, pretty much sums him up.
let him go we wont miss him
Taylor would be a good option too Taffspur but im not sold on Guttierez yet mate.
