TOTTENHAM boss Martin Jol will rival Sam Allardyce in the battle to sign Barcelona's French winger Ludovic Giuly.
Giuly, 30, will be allowed to leave Barcelona for a cut-price £1.5million, which has alerted Newcastle.
But Jol is anxious to strengthen his Spurs squad in wide areas for next season after losing out on Nani to Man Utd and will make a move for Giuly.
this would be a good signing, give us 2 good players down the right
The sleeping giant has awoke
Yes it would be a good signing and i think he will come 2 us over newcastle and Bolton as much as people tell me newcastle is a massive club I'm still yet 2 see them win anything in my life time
I would choose Spurs
Hope we get him, great player. Only problem might be Newcastle offering him more money...
"It's no use just winning, we've got to win well."
