the january window has only past but there are still some areas that we seriously need to address so in the summer we need a few good players brought in (make sure we are a premier league team first)
left-back:
for me it has to be stephen warnock, i think stevie has never got the credit he deserves for blackburn and if they go down he could go for a bargain price
left midfield:
two options, steeed malbranque or stewart downing,
steeed is a target no 1 in the summer because he is a quality left-sided player and gives his all in a spurs shirt
downing is a great crosser of the ball and can give us more options down the left, also if 'boro go down he is an absolute bargain
center back:
look we all no ledders' days are numbered and every single successful team needs a back two playing together week in week out, so matty upson springs out in my mind, he is a good, strong defender and has got over his injury problems, he has done so well for england and is experienced
striker:
we need a target man as well as pava because if he gets injured were screwed, so lets offload bent and get roque santa cruz in. cant think of anyone better to get on the end of bentley and possibly downings crosses and could score a lot of goals for the club, another bargain if rovers go down![]()

Left-back: Taye Taiwo from Marseille
Left-wing: Yuri Zhirkov from CSKA
Centre-back: Alex from Chelsea/Micah Richards from Man City
Striker: Vedad Ibisevic from Hoffenheim
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
Ibisevic is a risk worth taking. Goal-scoring instincts is something that no injury can take away in my opinion. As for Zhirkov, if Bolton were close to getting Veloso in January then I certainly won't give up hope for Zhirkov. However, if anyone wants an alternative suggestion to him then I'd suggest Martin Petrov. He may be old but he's still top quality...and he probably won't get too many games with moneybags Citeh
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
lads this isnt football manager, we've just spent something like 55 million on players in the jan transfer window, if thats not enough to sure up our squad then we're fooked. the answer to our problems is getting the team playing together - look at everton - a few good players, the rest just play with alot of heart, and do what moyesie asks of them without any questions - even if that means playing out of position..... its not ideal but the toffees show its possible
i would maybe bring in a LB.. all this coming and going at the lane is plain ridiculous. what if (and im just saying what if) we went down our we finished 15 next season and harry got the sack - stranger things have happened.... would the new manager be allowed to come in and say "these lot aint good enough" and be allowed to build his own team all over again?? you see my point.... imo arrys been very lucky to have all that money at his disposal at this time - he came to manage a club with good players, he shouldnt need a whole new starting 11.... thats not waht managements all about
i know this is a light hearted thread and this aint aimed at anyone in particular, just wanna get my point of view across and this seemed the best place to do it....... so no offence to the thread starter.
Just really disapointed that Stephen Hunt wasn't signed, he links up really well with Keane in the Ireland team. Another player I thought we would have brought in would have been Taiwo, but I guess it weren't to be.
Taiwo would've been nice. I gotta say Bale is for the future ( however i think he's playing crap at the moment ) and Ekotto has really impressed me lately. I love the fact he takes people on, he's improving his positioning and composure but most of all he loves a good tackle!! Most of our players are girl guides but when it comes to ekotto and zokora, it's ball and man lol.

Left-back/Centre Back: Giorgio Chiellini from Juventus
Left-wing: Stewart Downing from Middlesbrough/Vicente from Valencia
Centre-Defensive Midfield: Stephen Appiah-Free Agent/Matheui Flamini from AC Milan
Striker: Vagner Love from CSKA Moscow
Never going to get flamini he just went to ac and hes a gooner :|
I think that we need to win the Carling cup before we talk about signing all these players from good clubs, players want to play for teams that play in ufea or champions league, if we dont win the Carling Cup (witch i think we will) we wil have to look at the clubs that go down, or good players from the championship, i still dont know how any epl side hasnt signed Chris Eagles from Burnley i mean he killed tottenham in the Carling Cup semi-final,
i dont think we need a CB
Dawson and Woodgate do just fine for me
i wouldnt mind a young gun center back though
for carling cup etc
