The replacement of King

I think we all know that King days are numbered and we soon have to find an appropriate replacement and one that can partner with our current defenders, either Woodgate or Dawson!

Does anyone think we shall see a new CB, if so any recommendations for Big Harry!?

Upson possibly but cant forget that Kings a legend and wont be leaving for a long time!

I think we've already got him - Corluka! I see his future as a CB and we've got enough for RB now with Chimbonda, Hutton (when fit) and Gunter

like the lad at hull who looks like daws i know he just signed a new deal but i think thats just to get more money in the summer

Huth from Middlesborough would be realistic, because he is 24, partnered with Woodgate at Boro and them two were called the "Berlin Wall" when they were playing together. Wouldn't mind seeing that at White Hart Lane to get more resources in defence, but more so in Left Back I'm concerned about.

i like huth to but he seems to have picked up alot of injuries this season for some reason not sure about charlie back there as his pace is an issue but i think cb is an area that you would get found out if you had a lck of pace

Well everyone was really nervous and curios about when we signed Woodgate because of his injury list, but look at what we have done... we have completely turned around his career and probably one of the main reasons why he is still here!

yeah good point i think this has been the best season for awhile with spurs for injuries i know defoe is long term and jamie was out for a few games but nothing like the seasons were we had 5/6 long term injuries i honestily thought whl was cursed

Isn't that Dawson's brother?

The thing is you can't just 'sign' a replacement for King as he is so much more than just a good defender for us. He He is a great player AND he is nothing but Tottenham!

However, all is not lost! We may start to see the new Ledley King sometime next season as young Troy has being tearing it up down Exeter way and the comparisons with Ledley go much further than just another young Spurs defender.

Troy's getting good 1st team experience there at the moment & they've extende their loan till the end of the season but I can't see him being there much longer if he carries on playing as well as he has.

He is looking ever more likely a future Spurs star & if he can continue to do what he is doing at Exeter City at a higher standard, arise the new king!!

Very competitive as youngsters apparently , i remember seeing an interview with dawson and he said they had always had that rivalry . Bring the boy in = open arms on my count .
