Well we do need a LB but after we recently resigned Pascal, who can play anywhere across the back 4, its questionable as to whether Harry will waste time over getting in another defender, especially now Defoe's out. However, Pascal is not naturally left-sided & we are already 'right-heavy'.

Taye Taiwo is a great young player who plays for Marseille. He was thought to be going to City but they bought Wayne Bridge instead. Harry has watched Taiwo & now he has apparently said he still wants to come to England.


£5m? I'd go for him, he's miles better defensively than Ekotto anyway.

Get him!!!! Top quality LB, makes top class runs up the field, has one hell of a left boot on him. I'd offer £4M + BAE in exchange that ought to convince them. He can also play further up the pitch at LM and also at CB if I'm not mistaken so he is versatlie

Basically, I don't think I would want Corluka in LB, I much prefer him at RB and CB. LB we have is BAE and Chimbonda.. really isn't good enough if we had the equal amount we have in RB's I wouldn't complain. In RB we have Hutton, Gunter, Corluka, Chimbonda and I say get this kid Taiwo!

I have known about this kid for the last 3 years and i am surprised the likes of the Goons have'nt snapped him up.
He is a fantastic LB, pushes forward to help his winger to create chances, free up space and he is very solid defensively.
£5m is an absolute bargain for who IMO is probably one of the best LB in Europe.

They're saying we're favourites to get him at £5m. That's a decent bet imo & after BAE's performance today (from what I've heard), I really hope to see this materialize over the next 24hrs.

Considering that we were thought to be preparing a £4m bid for out of form Nickey Shorey (which we have apparently now abandoned), £5m for Taiwo is a steal.
