we would never pay 22m for him, but im more concerned about the bit about Dos Santos
Is this just us returning the guesture over the Bellamy / Palacios thing or do we actually want this guy - i dont see offloading players as a good move while were still in the UEFA cup as that could end up as our last resort route to European football next season .

This goes back to my 'slotting straight into the team' theory. Harry wants players he knows will work well with what he already has. The reason Santa Cruz had such a great 1st season was simply David Bentley. Bentley & him had a superb understanding & they could pick each other out every time. Santa Cruz has not been half as clinical since David's departure but linking the up again here at Tottenham could see them start producing their best form again.
I like Santa Cruz but I actually prefer Pav & I really hope we don't get Roque at his expense. I know it would ultimately be bent for the chop but Pav would get less starts with Roque here & I think he offers us more in all areas of the pitch.
Roman is really starting to show his class & is already striking up a good connection with JD. He set him up against Burnley & his thru ball against the Potters was beautiful & pure Tottenham. I just don't see Santa Cruz giving us that sort of touch.

I'm notthat fussed about him, I think Roman is a better striker now he's finding his feet. I think the money would be better spent elsewhere on some cover for Ledley.
Pardon my french but this is total b****lks - its pure red top hype. There's no way we'd pay that kind of money again for a striker. I think Harry would prefer to pay less and if this is true then its madness.
What about a central defender or left midfielder??? seems a waste of money. Sure we need some cover for the stirkers - but paying this type of money is simply ridiculous.
