I think Pav is more than capable of being the perfect partner to Defoe, no need to get more average strikers, we did that and bought Bent last time! GREAT!!! Let's stick with these for a while! Never heard of Fred...

Apparently he's in London for talks with Spurs, Stoke also possibly interested.

Doubt he'd partner Defoe as a regular tho, Pav's been a saviour for us and would be a crime to leave him out of our regular starting 11, possible nice bit of competition for them tho

I say we stick with Pav as well. He's shown he can be an effective target man in cup games, granted the competition is different, but with a consistent partner like Defoe and better link up from midfield I think he can translate that form to the league.

I agree there's no point in going after more and more mediocre strikers. I know we're in a relegation battle but whoever we buy will take time to settle anyways so we might as well go with what we've got.

I heard that there is a 'Transfer' section to discuss transfers.

i hope we're more focused on defensive players and players who can move the ball forward...

Pave, bent and defeo will all score if we can move the ball up field quicker.

still dontt think the striker weve got in is enough. before the window we were saying 2, maybe 3 strikers were needed. what worries me is pav has had a long old season and it is innevitable that he will pick up the odd injury because of that. what do we do then? defoe cant play up by himself, cant play with bent, campbells useless... so get fred in on loan arry.

Glad to see Pav scoring, and Defoe notching up a couple. I wish Defoe and Bent could settle their differences as they are both good players on their day, not necessarily in the same team.

Pav has been playing for nearly 2 years straight. Imagine how good he would be if he had a nice rest and a pre-season with his new pals.

Starting to like Pav a lot.

Fred is dog sh*t as well.

In what way is Bent a good player?????????????
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!

I dont think Bent is a good player . BUT in the UEFA games i see him as a threat , because he has a burst of speed that can help him lose a defender . If i remember rightly even after English teams were allowed to play in Europe after the HEYSEL Stadium ban it took us years before we got anywhere near the semi's because of the way European football had developed . Its the the same now to a certain extent = they like to pass the ball around in their own half , wait for an opening weakness in the oppositions defense - then long ball to a player who has the slight touch of excellence and the ball ends in the back of the net . Now we have that option open to us now . I know i have to explain now so i will = Hudlestone is not a defensive midfielder - but if he can get far enough forward he doen't mind having the odd shot , and if we do play defensive football the HUD can put a ball on a sixpence over fifty yards with a pass , to the lazy but fast Bent . So for the away games thats my potion . The UEFA could spell burnout for some of our players so should i go down the training ground and have a word in Harry's shell like ?????

"Lyon striker Fred's brother and agent has accused Harry Redknapp of lying after the Tottenham Hotspur boss claimed the Brazilian failed to turn up for a meeting. The player's representative has also confirmed that he will no longer consider a move to Spurs."
looks likes that could be dead then
