Well we know Harry has an eye for talented players, but I have been looking round seeing what Harry has been looking for and seen that he has made a bid for Inter Milan's centre defender, Burdisso.
As far as I know he played amazingly in the World Cup but from then he hasn't been given much playing time under new manager, Jose Mourinho. We all now know that a centre back would be great for a cover for King or Dawson, but lets see if this develops over the few days left of the transfer market.

That's great news altho news in Italy quotes £9m. I guess its all in the exchange rate.

They reckon we are still in for Materazzi as well! I noticed that we were interested in Burdisso some time ago but the reports weren't too encouraging with many people claiming that he was not very likely to leave Inter.
Burdisso would be an excellent signing as he would bring aggression & experience to our defence, not to mention he can play anywhere across the back 4.

That would be great if we managed to land either Materrazi or Burdisso, these two guys in CB would terrify the sh1t out of some Premier League players, they wouldn't know what hit them if they seen Materazzi running at em'. Burdisso is very good with handling corners, which we really do need because we lose far too much concentration with them at the minute.
Burdisso is 27 and Materazzi is 34 which would give us some well needed experience. Harry do this, these two could be signed for 14 million or even 8 million with Jenas going the opposite direction!
god, i dunno about materazzi. rather burdisso tbh. anyone remember when he was at everton? he just kept picking up red cards, hes a nasty fooka.
Tbh, I think its all for Burdisso anyway, Pit. That's who we were linked with before & the bid is only for him so far. I reckon Inter are trying to offload Marco as well but I don't think it will be us who he ends up with. I agree, Materazzi was not great at Everton but he did seem to get better with age. Having said that, he's still a nasty piece of work, but we do need a little bit more grit. Burdisso is capable of bringing that on his own tho & I truly feel he is the one we are going for.
They reckon JJ is going the other way on loan but I'm not sure. Jose seems to have retracted his comments claiming that people are reading into his Fantasy Football team! That sounds like Mourinho bullsh*t to me tho!

I know ZZ should have never risen to it but he contributed to the fabulous & disastrous swan song of the greatest player to ever grace a footy field (IMO).
