According to various reports in the Romanian press, Spurs have made an offer to the current Romanian champions CFR 1907 Cluj for the Ivorian striker Yssouf Kone. The offer is thought to be around £5m.
Kone played for CFR in the current Champions League season and most notably, scored a goal on Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. He played for Rosenborg before joining Cluj and apparently he scored 10 goals in Ch.League for the Norwegian side.
The deal is thought to be concluded within the next few days with the Ivorian striker looking set to join Tottenham on a three years contract.
Sorry, the link is in Romanian but I guess it’s self explanatory.

Being born and bred in Romania, I am pretty much up to date with the football news from my native country, nevertheless I don’t know too many things about Kone. One friend of mine who’s from Cluj told me the Ivorian is definitely way too good for the Romanian league and he wondered how on earth he landed there. That’s all I know at the momment, will try to find out more.
to dare is to do
at least he would be cheeper than all the premiership players we linked with - upwards of £15 million is a joke
Intersting report thanks for posting mate. Don't know much about this guy either, but I will do a bit of research.
great post mate i believe spurs should be looking further afield as some of the players we are linked with from the prem are seriously inflated .
i suppose having the premiership experience helps but does not guarantee anything .
