It seems we are starting to get quite a bit of strikers built up now. While the depth has obviously improved, I don't think we have really improved the quality. We now have a bunch of okay strikers, but still nobody that will strike fear in the hearts of defenders.
I really, really, hope this is wrong. Not a fan.
Would be quantity over quality, as you basically said. The bloke ain't worth that much; not to mention, we have Defoe as our small man. We need a bit of power or proper skill up front if we need anything.

Didnt Bellamy say he would rather go to Spurs than Man City. I really hope this doesnt go ahead, i hate his attitude, hes not going to react well when he finds out he will be on the bench behind Defoe and Pav.

On this Podolski link, he's been widely slated in Germany for his attitude while at Bayern. Now, OK, he's down the pecking order, but when he has played he's been labelled lazy and not worthy of playing.
Makes me wonder why we'd be so interested.
Regardless, he's off to Cologne.
Our latest offer for bellamy was rejected & not accepted. Apparently (according to SSN) Bellamy has just gone to the WHU board and demanded they let him leave for Spurs & Duxbury has categorically told him he's not going anywhere!
I have to say that as much as I dislike the guy, I am starting to appreciate his desire to play for us, especially over the sweet deal he'll be getting from City!

I second that, Im not his biggest fan and dont like His attitude but His desire to play for us has made me want to see what He can do for us, especially as He would turn down a big Manc offer in the process.
