Not a bad solution, however i doubt he would leave to sit on the bench, good cover if we could though.

Spurs have been looking at Blackburn's captain Nelsen as the answer to the much needed cover we need at CB. However, would Nelsen be prepared to sit it out if both King & Woodgate are fit? He is a solid defender & reliable with good leadership qualities also but we would need to convince Blackburn to sell, which may not be easy.

Crack, Weed, god knows what else!!
It's been my life, Tottenham Hotspur, and I love the club.
It's an odd one. But maybe Ryan Nelson doesn't mind sitting on the bench watching better players win the game.
“It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high... so high, in fact, that even failure will have in it an echo of glory!”
― Bill Nicholson OBE
If we were sitting in 6th place, id be in tears. But being in 3rd, our team is playing well enough so he wont be replacing anyone. Maybe he's happy to sit on the bench and serve as back up... but can't help but think that we could've shown more ambition

I am guessing this is some Swedish wonder kid plucked from obscurity by our tireless scouting network.
Maybe the jokes about 'Arry angling for an insanity defense weren't actually jokes
I see Bassong as a better player
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Today's moves made me scratch my head. I really dont understand what will we do with these players
Ryan Nelsen could make a shock last-minute move to Tottenham on transfer deadline day, manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed.
The Blackburn centre-back would replace Sebastien Bassong, who has long stated his desire to leave Spurs and was left out of the club's 3-1 win over Wigan.
Bassong has been the subject of a bid from Wolves before Tuesday's 11pm transfer deadline and hopes to replace him by completing the signing of veteran Nelsenfrom Ewood Park.
Redknapp, who earlier in January tried to sign Blackburn's Christopher Samba,
said: "Bassong could maybe go on loan to Wolves. I think that's going to happen.
"We just need to see whether I can take another central defender, because I've got William Gallasout long-term through injury.
"I'm hoping to sign Ryan Nelsen on a free until the end of the season. I think he's a great competitor and a good sort to have at your club. Always liked him.
"Seb needs to go - his head's down."
I can see the logic there, Nelson is going to come in and be well hyped with a move to us, as Harry said Seb's head is down, so sure this would be better to have a hyped player as opposed to an unhappy player, and im sure he wont let us down any opportunities he gets.
