He is a good player no doubt about it, allround player can play everywhere on the midfield, but no place for him here.
So I wont be sad if he leaves

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Agreed........
Let's give 'em Krancjar instead. I actually think Pienaar is a good, solid squad player, a lot better than Niko in my opinion.

He's a great squad player, if Bale or Lennon can't play a fit Pienaar is a better option than VdV, Luca or Nico .... he's getting back to fitness (probably play Thursday) and will be a good squad asset ..... keep him.

The big question I have (and we'll never know the real answer) is whether he was crocked when we bought him? Or whether we have simply been unlucky/incompetent?
Not ready to give up on Pienaar yet. He hasn't had enough match time for us to judge him. He's never going to be the goal-scoring/play-making threat that most our other midfielders are, but I think he can put in a good shift at just about any position beside holding mid - and we already have Sandro, Hudd, Livermore and Parker to cover there. Pienaar gives us more options out wide. Of course, if Falque, Townsend, or GDS come good then he could be surplus. But until we see Townsend and Falque getting regular time I'd like to have Pienaar around just in case. Niko, Bale, and Azza are all pretty injury prone so having some cover for them is good (though, admittedly, Pienaar doesn't seem a picture of durability himself).
At the moment if Pienaar is fit, I would play him ahead of Lennon. I'm very unimpressed with Pienaar but he had to battle injury and deserves to get a chance since Lennon is not performing.
Fair point about Jenas. I actually like Jenas, just don't think he's good enough for us. And I think the situations are a little different. Jenas is only a central midfielder, our strongest position, so it should be harder for him to get a game, where as Pienaar gives us depth in more positions so would get more games if he was ever fit.
No chance of this happening..........hasnt had a proper run in our team so any Spurs fan slagging him off can fook off.

He's made (I think) less than 5 starts for us. And they were spread out too. And he was coming back from injury on some of them.
FFS give him a chance.
