Lucas Ariel Ocampos(born July 11, 1994 in Buenos Aires) is an argentine footballer who plays for River Plate. In 2011, he played his first match for River Plate at the age of 17 years, two months and five days. He is an excellent player and has drawn comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo due to his physique, position and style of play.
His first team debut was on August 16th, 2011 in a match played against Chacarita Juniors. Although only 17 years of age and very little time with the first team, Lucas was able to convince coach Matias Almeyda to start him on the first match of the season due to his fantastic pre-season form. His debut was good, where he showed great maturity and character during the game. However, the circumstances were not the best as River Plate had recently been relegated to the second division for the first time in their history. He scored his first goal for River Plate in his second match on August 20th, 2011.
