Try to avoid watching Blackburn Rovers more than twice a season....how good actually is this guy?
Doesn't have the best scoring record, although I'm pretty sure he plays on the wing to be fair, not really an out and out striker.

Things are looking fairly dire at Blackburn Rovers at the minute. Boss Steve Kean is nearing the axe after failing to reverse the poor run of form that began at the end of last term. The Ewood Park side lost a few crucial players over the summer, including Phil Jones, Nikola Kalinic and Brett Emerton but didn’t spend a great deal replacing them.
Junior Hoilett impressed many with his performances last term and the 21 year old Canadian is now the subject of growing interest and it seems that Tottenham and Newcastle United are the most interested parties when it comes to the adaptable attacker.
Alan Pardew has seen his side start the season well and are still unbeaten but could arguably still do with more attacking options, having netted just nine goals in seven games. The strike pairing of Demba Ba and Leon Best appears to be doing the trick but Hoillet, who can play out wide as well as up front, may add something to their attack.
Tottenham lost two of their striking options over the summer, with Robbie Keane and Peter Crouch leaving for LA Galaxy and Stoke City respectively, Roman Pavlyuchenko appears likely to leave in January but Harry Redknapp has seen Jermain Defoe get back into form and brought in Emmanuel Adebayor in from Man City.
That said, Hoillet could also be a player that Redknapp feels could add something to the North London side’s attacking third in the long term.
Kean will struggle to keep the Ontario born attacker if Blackburn Rovers continue to fight relegation and the fact that the player will be out of contract in the summer will only mean that he can be purchased for a bargain price in January.

I don't think he is good enough for us. He is good for mid-table teams though.

H aint a bad player and is young but I'm not sure if he is good enough for us. i suppose he would be a good player to pressure Lennon out right and cover for Bale if he gets injured and at 21 years old he will improve. Playing & training with our squad would certainly make him take a step up in his career IMO. obviously I would like some big star name ahead of himbut he has looked ok in the prem so far whilst playing for a rubbish team and is still young. If the price is right I would take a punt on him but it would be a gamble.
I actually quite like him tbh. Plays with lots of energy and is excellent at dribbling, whereas Lennon just runs 10 yards, turns round and passes backwards. He's by far the best player at Blackburn and that probably makes him look worse than he is, playing with a bunch of dummies. I would prefer Hoilett over Lennon any day of the week but i'm not 100% sure if he plays there naturally.

Unlike Lennon, he totally abandons his defensive duties though. I watched a few Blackburn games and he doesn't track back at all.
This is just clips from this season - he has a bloody good eye for a pass. There are about 5 top class through balls in there. Looks like he could be one of those players that thrive with quality players in front of him like Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor, instead of Yakubu and David Goodwillie.......

Look how many goalscoring opportunities he made only for them to **** it up lol. Quality signing compared to Lennon. Sign him up Harry! We need a positive winger like him. Made Sagna look like a complete clown, something which Bale failed to do for once.

Wow, from that video, 00:50! Great pass, looks like an decent player, wouldn't say no to him.

he's definitely a player i like however i dont really think that we should pay more than around £12m.
I've been impressed with him since about halfway through last season actually. I think he'd be a good signing IF he can play right-wing. He's not going to play ahead of Bale, Pienaar or Niko on the left for me or VDV or Defoe with Ade so it's whether he can compete with Lennon. Most of those clips were from the centre or left. If he can do it though he'd be a great buy, presumably reasonably cheap, still young, good crossing, passing, dribbling and pace.

If he played on the right, he would be perfect with an overlapping Walker as it seems he likes to eventually cut inside when possible. You can see the indecision and nervousness on the defenders' face when facing this guy, imagine them also having to do with a player with Walker's pace flying up the wing.
