I actually think that with some good supporting players around him he could be quite good. He is big, strong, and a pretty good finisher. He can play up top by himself. With service from Bale and Lennon (when he's in form) he could flourish. Would want him as a second striker. Adebayor and Rodallega would make for a pretty solid window. I'd sell Pav and Crouch and go with the stable of Adebayor, Rodallega, and Defoe. There might be better options but Rodallega is attainable, affordable, and would want to come here.

I actually like him too big dub. I think you are correct, he could be a solid #10 for us and could be useful with VdV's injury problems. But would be a luxury till a major clear out.

We have Defoe who seems to be finding his form again for this season (his career suggests 1 season great, the next bad, and so on), Pav is a super sub, and with Ade coming in I don't think we should waste our wage bill and transfer money on Rodallega. Save it for Leandro in January.

I agree with MagnaThor. Adebayor, Defoe and Pav should be enough, particularly if Leandro is coming in January. We can then give him 6 months to acclimatise and, if he has, sell Pav next summer and assess how Defoe did in the season to come.

Yeah if it's a good deal, we could do worse than Rodallega. He'd be solid backup to Adebayor if we get him. He'd also want to come here and not expect to start every game.

Even if Damiao is coming in January we need 4 strikers IMO with our injury luck.

So now = Pav, Crouch, Defoe

Hopefully soon = Pav, Defoe, Adebayor

Then after that = Pav, Defoe, Adebayor, Rodallega

And depending on performances by January we'll have = Pav/Defoe, Adebayor, Rodallega, Leandro Damiao.

And then after the season we can decide what to do with Ade - sign him up or capitalise on our hopefully great season by signing a big gunner.

Yeah but he plays for wigan who fight relegation every year. His only link to goal was nzogbia. He'll get probably ten extra chances a game at spurs if not more. He seems to have all the attributes to be a very good goal scorer. The goal last season he scored against us was really well taken. The only one i remember lol, but as i said you can only really score what your team provides and at wigan that is very little.I think he would fit into a rotation at spurs pretty well. Not the big name striker people want but he could flourish in a spurs shirt.

I overreacted by calling him crap....but better than Pav or Defoe? No way. They would both score at least that many goals if not more if they played for Wigan.

So people are pretty certain we're getting Damiao in January, if they're prepared to not sort out our striker situation now? I am still unsure how Defoe is going to perform personally, and while Pav would get a decent return (as well as a load of wasted chances), if he was played regularly, the likelihood of that happening may be lower than we'd like. Having said that, I don't think Rodallega is the player I'd go for.

I like rodallega. Personally I believe neither defoe or pav are good enough and if they are not playing they will complain. I can't see why people are so prepared to stand by defoe after the horror 18 months he has had. If people think he can come back to form and score 15 goals this season it is nothing more than hope. It is clear for everyone to see that we would be a top side of we had top strikers. In adebayor we have a top strikers, in rodallega we have versatile forward player that can cover adebayor, vdv, lennon and bale. Defoe, pav nor crouch can play anywhere but up top and let's be honest, they struggled to even do that last year.

Was it? Dont remember how the goal took place just remember it being a good finish. Pav and defoe dont score much more than that playing at spurs never mind wigan although rodallega gets alot more minutes i suppose.i hope defoe comes good this year and pav scores an extra 5 but if rodallega could come to spurs have extra chances with our midfield and add another 12 or 15 goals to the teams total it wouldnt be a bad thing!
