Sportal.hr - Tomislav Gomelt iz HAŠK-a sedam dana u kampu Spursa , Sportal, nogomet, strani nogomet
16-year-old Croatian Tomislav Gomelt is spending 7 days in Tottenham's camp.
Spurs have been linked with:
Ivan Perisic
Renato Kelic (on trial)
Sime Vrsaljko
Tomislav Gomelt (on trial)
Sportal.hr - Gomelt: Jedva
Tomislav Gomelt about being at Tottenham:
- I'm delighted with the way I've been welcomed at the club. Now it's up to me to prove myself and that's why I can't wait to make my debut Saturday against Fulham. I hope to leave a good impression so that they will call me back to Spurs.
He'll be returning back to Zagreb later that Saturday.
He was also one of the players who ran out last night carrying the Champions League flag. He said it's like nothing he's ever experienced before and a feeling he'll never forget. He also got to see the game close to the field, which was another great experience.

Hey, they've obviously proven to be great players up to now, why not bring in a few more and see what happens?
<------ Arsene Wenger
The 2nd link has a picture of him with Modric.......I guess we have either an academy or Spurs XI game on Saturday.

From what I heard Tomislav Gomelt (Croatia u-16 skipper ) is great talent. My friends who personally know him tell me that barca offered him come and play for their youth team 2 years ago but his parents refuse it. He was also on trials in Genoa and Inter and pass them.
That's the thing.. young talents want to be in London and i am not gonna lie probably because they have many fellow countrymen there.. and probably their idols like Modric Niko and many others like Bale and so on...
would be much much easier for a young player if he has someone who can help him in his native language when something is not clear..
but of course there is a risk to get more posters from croatia here then.. don't know if the servers can endure that..
But if Niko leaves which he probably will.. then there is a place on the bench open for somebody... and a 16 year old wont complain about sitting there.. Niko will not sit there and be happy..
spurs love their croatians! f*ck it, why not?![]()
That guy Perisic is pure class, Vrsaljko is very talented but would cost to much. But Perisic could be more than just a bench warmer, just the type of player Arry prefers. Fast, great technique, great shot. I´m sure he would get a lot playtime when bale or lennon are injuried.
well he is not listed as playing for the youth team, unless we played him under a different name ?

Shall we just build a stadium in Croatia instead?
It's cheaper you know.
Plus, we can hire builders from neighbouring countries![]()
Reporter: "What is it like to score against the best team in the world [Barcelona]?".
Jake Livermore: "Score against the best team in the world??? I play for them [TOTTENHAM]."
So there are a lot of rumors going around that we are close to signing Sime Vrsaljko (RB).
Here are some links that a croatian elsewhere has posted. (as of DECEMBER 2011)
City za Vrsaljka i Kova
The story ^^^ (in Croatian) claims that Manchester City is offering 28m euros for the pair, while Arsenal are willing to pay 26m euros (Zdravko Mamic was in Manchester and London last week, apparently meeting with representatives from both clubs).
They go on to write that both Chelsea and Tottenham are also willing to get in on the bidding, and that Mamic may be heading back to London next week.
Spurs were one of the clubs who had their scouts/reps present during last night's Champions League match.

We are also linked to Kovacic......
The report says that the interest in Kovacic is constant, especially from England. They mention Manchester City as always being a frontrunner, but say that the talk now is that Tottenham has come on the scene and could be Mateo's next destination.
They say that Dinamo would like to find a way to keep the player in Zagreb for another season before he eventually moves to a new club.
I personally doubt a buy-and-loan-back is a real option. Dinamo/Mamic don't do deals like that. Especially not for someone who might actually increase in value after that time. They'd more than likely sit and see what the market would be at that time. Especially with Kovacic likely to be close to (if not in) the NT by then.
That said, I guess you never know. It will be interesting to see if anything develops.

Zadnji sati prijelaznog roka! Mo
Apparently this Kovacic kid is highly rated (17). United supposedly balked at the 10 million asking price but a few croatians on SC are really talking him up.
The article above are basically questioning if Dinamo will sell.
