John Toshack said in his press conference today that spurs turned down a big offer this summer for bale but would not reveal who from out of respect for his source. He went on to say the interest remains and he is being watched. Why is he talking about something which has **** all to do with him?Bale may become unsettled if as imagined it was from man utd or real madrid.I am sure bale knew but the more it get's talked about the more his mind may turn in the future.Concentrate on managing your shit team toshack and don't unsettle our best player!

I'm surprised that we didn't hear about it. I would have thought that any bid for Bale would be big news after the season he had.
I bet it was Man United, if its true. I'm sure he's being watched though, he's one of the best left sided players in the EPL.
Sorry Bacon Face, but we're a top 4 team now, go raid someone like Everton for your players lol.
I am gonna guess it was Intermilan and I bet we'll hear this story conveniently break just a few days before our first match.

Steven Caulker is the messiah!
Personally I could care less who he manages and yes England are just as crap but Glos' sentiments are spot on. Toshack should keep his fat mouth shut. If Bale had spent the last 12 months sitting on the bench getting no first team football and a move was needed to keep him in the national side then fine say what you like but Bale is settled, without doubt the first name on the team sheet and is happy.Whether there was a bid or not it's not up to him to blab to the media.
When pressed on the identity of the club, Toshack said: "I wouldn't do that out of confidence for the people who have informed me."
How about just being a professional and keeping your trap shut and worrying about if you can qualify for the Euros. c***

might as well get used to hearing this kind of shit. Among others, Modders, Bale, Lennon, prob Hudds will be targets for clubs as long as they are in our team. Only way it will stop is by solidifying our standing in the top four/making past the group phase.

True. Metro already started that guff and got butchered by Spurs fans earlier. Half truths about Bale and Modric while using ancient quotes from Van der Vaart to try and claim he's using us as a stepping stone to United. I'm used to the press trying it on but when a national coach opens his mouth in that fashion for basically no reason it riles me. If he was trying to use it as an example of the Welsh side having quality he should have just left it at Bale being a top 4 player, arguably the best left sided player in English football right now and that he'll make his mark on the Champions League...job done.

well staying top 4 as well as getting paid properly. we are constant top 3/4 and they are main reasons why then you know they will be wanting the money. At the same time though the moment they are outragously over priced by one of these teams then sell them. I be more than okay if we sold Bale to ManUre for £100m. Sure he is good but i know with £100m we could improve our team a crap load more than just Bale can by himself. Just facts however as of right now i want these guys to stay here and they have shown so far that they want that by signing new contracts and extentions.
Sexiest Spurs Fan!!!
What is this Toshack **** playing at? No reason to go out of the way and say this. Plus he is focusing on a club matter right before an international friendly. I say this has Sir Bacon Face written all over it. Toshack has been tipped off by United.
I thought everyone knew Toshack was a prick?
Honestly don't think its United's bid... They don't have the money to risk it and have tried and failed before - plus the Berb and Carrick bids were the worst kept secrets in football and worked out horrifically for them. Toshack managed Madrid twice so it could be them, Mourinho has always been a great admirer of Spurs and has the money to do it easily. Can't rule out Barca, Inter, City, maybe even Chelsea but Toshack is some piece of shit for saying it. Never hear a positive word out of him, no wonder Welsh football is so crap with that depressing twat at the top of it. On top of after unsettling their best prospect he's criticised the refereeing choice for their game against Montenegro as well. Montebloodynegro - nobody cares!
As a Northern Irish fan, witnessing victories over England and Spain, I think international football is good fun - but the way it is organised is ridiculous. Our players basically go away to get injured and tapped up, then ridiculed by the press at the most important stages of the season. We'd be better off signing some San Marinians - Actually, on second thoughts should probably just wait in case it doesn't phase him at all first...

Can someone explain Mourinho's infatuation with Spurs?
First he kept trying to go for Jenas, then he was interviewed and he slammed Arsenal as having no chance in Europe, and basically named us alongside Arsenal, Benfica to make last 16 for CL.
Would not be surprised if Real were the ones who bid for Bale because Marcelo is terrible for them. He bursts forward at pace then loses the ball leaving a huge gap for wingers to exploit.
i thought it was well known that united enquired about modders and bale at the start of the summer.. thats why we offered them new contracts.. would not have been a spanish team otherwise all their players would be telling the press "dont force him to stay" shite.
