Harry Redknapp has earmarked a move for Italian international Claudio Marchisio as he continues to fight to bring more strength in depth to his already impressive White Hart Lane squad. The Juventus man is considered one of the best midfielders in Serie A and has forced his way into the national team reckoning two good seasons at the crisis hit Turin side.
The White Hart Lane boss has been looking for central midfielders as looks likely to offload Jermaine Jenas and youngster Sandro may be some way away from a Premier League start and a move for the 24 year old could well prove more likely now that the north London club have clinched Champions League football.
£12m rated Marchisio, nicknamed the “Little Prince”, has been likened to former Juve legend Marco Tardelli and has the ability to get stuck in with determined well time challenges but also has an eye for goal and may well be considering his future at the Old Lady of Italian football after the club fell to a disastrous seventh place finish last term.
Now that Spurs have made it to the Champions League group stages Redknapp will no doubt be handed a larger transfer warchest so expect a great deal of last minute action before the transfer window closes.

I have seen him play quite alot imo he is not what we need. For me he is the Italian Jenas. He flatters to deceive.
it would probably turn out to be another Aqualani (Liverpool)
Harry Redknapp: "I sorted out the team formation last night lying in bed with the wife. When your husband's as ugly as me, you'd only want to talk football in bed"
