Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp eager to offload misfit striker Robbie Keane - Telegraph

After some of his pre-season performances I thought that he was starting to show he had managed to re-focus. But no. Same old Keane. Personally I think it is a shame. He had a great chance to become a legend with us but blew it 100% by moving to Liverpool. He went downhill when his career there failed.

Bar his great lay-off to Pav he has yet again disappointed. And I can't see it changing.

Three seasons ago who would have expected that we would be wanting rid of Keano and JJ?

He already is a legend at White Hart Lane. Many a fan would honestly tell you that. He only went downhill at Liverpool because Rafa pushed him down there with rocket boosters attached to his back. Keane was used to always being picked to start at Spurs. Benitez left him on the bench for dubious 'tactical reasons' (we all know how far Benitez got with those). It may have dented Keane's self-confidence and made him think - If I can't get into this Liverpool team, am I really any good? He came back to Spurs lacking the confidence he had before moving in the first place.

Now I realise why sports psychologists are useful lol.
Reporter: "What is it like to score against the best team in the world [Barcelona]?".
Jake Livermore: "Score against the best team in the world??? I play for them [TOTTENHAM]."

damn i can't see how that donkey crouch is "alledgedly better" than Keane. personally i would think Keane has a better future with Spurs than Crouch. maybe it is just my obvious bias for him over my obvious dislike of Crouch.

Stop having a go at 'Crouchy..!! He brings a different style to our team, as do all our strikers. Well get to the top quicker if we show support and constructive critisim. All this donkey stuff is uncalled for. We're a family. It's like critisizing your son.!! Stop it...!!!

Well said mate......If it wasn't for his goal against Shity last season we might no be on the brink of making history this coming wednesday!!!

Crouch is a solid Squad member ok not a world class player but his solid and does a good job when needed.

As for keano his looked ok in pre season but its er pre season!! Im not sure he'll cut it at the top level anymore tbh......Shame cos i've always thought he'd see his days out at the lane. Sometimes things are not meant to be!!!!

      Should never have come back.

      Didnt want him back.

Do date he has cost us nothing other than wages, we need to make cash off of his limp arse now while we still can or use him as a make weight to get a player in who has a future.

Thanks for the first time round Keano and I will remember that but you did shit on us and I dont forget or forgive easily.

Crouch on the other hand is a dick but he is unique and give us an option no other team has. Keeper until we find an all round better replacement that can do his job.

Think it is time for Keano to move away from WHL for good. He wrote himself into the legend books with his first stint with us, he soon realised that he is past it and many of the clubs that he joined, Liverpool and then back to us, have surpased him. We need to make some money back on him but don't want to be distrspectful about it. He'd be more suited to the Scottish league or a lower prem side maybe.

Keep all four of them. As mentioned previously, they all bring different styles of play to the game. I think all four strikers are all on the same level, for different reasons, making it difficult for me to suggest, if one had to go, which one it would be. We should keep all four, especially seeing as Defoe is out for a few months possibly, Pav defernetly to spend more time at training on control and dribbling, aswell as passing! All our strikers are inconsitent, which is something that needs to change, don't you agree?

Crouch is the future and as mentioned earlier he gives another dimension to the squad. Keano is the past and when you watch him, he is the past. Can't honestly seeing any club paying big money for Keano.

Robbies actually our stiker thats more in form than any other we have so im suprised this has come out now. His 1-2 with Pav for Pavs goal against Young Boys was as good a move as you see from our strikers, we would not have much chance of getting back into the tie without that move to make it 3-2.

I did want him repaced but the later into the transfer window it gets without any forward signings Im warming to the idea of keeping him. I'v read Pav's agent is looking to get him a move on so I think he might me out the door first the way its going if anyone at all.

robbie keane made a mistake by going to liverpool, but as long as he knows hes not guaranteed starting every week hes a great 1st team squad player. everyone keeps saying about crouch giving us a different option that other team dont have, maybe im missing something but what is this different option he gives us because hes not good in the air, micah richards and kolo toure won loads in the air against him last week. hes better on the floor but thats not different and theres many many better players we could get
