Lescott on loan!

TalkSport have apparently claimed we have been trying to get Joleon Lescott in on loan from Manchester City!

I have to say, City paying what they did for Lescott was absolutely crazy but I really would not mind at all if we took him on loan. However, the move was rejected, unsurprisingly, by City.

It seems pretty clear now that they are not really willing to do business with us. We need to look elsewhere

Lescott would be wonderful - a loan deal until Woody's future is sorted out looks like a perfect option.

I'm starting to think Citeh does crazy signings just for the enjoyment of other EPL fans. Pay double what Lescott is worth only to try and loan him out. Awesome business.

It just seems that we are the only people around who are willing to buy and City are the only club around who have players to sell. And given that we are rivals it's just not happening.

We should forget about City and concentrate on finding other players. Take a hint, Harry. They ain't playing nice.

You have to wonder whether this hard-line City're always seemingly taking will eventually back-fire on them. We are already not enamoured by them after they held us to ransom over the Wilson Palacios/Craig Bellamy transfers a year or 2 back & now they're refusing to do business with us, as well as other top 4 rival teams (apparently).

Player such as Shay Given joined City under promises of silverware & he now finds himself on the bench - fair enough. However, City are refusing to sell him to a top 4 rival, meaning that if he wants to leave he will have to take a step back down to a mid-to-lower table club. I can really see him ending up at Fulham with Sparky, especially if Schwarzer joins the Scum.

Sooner or later tho, players (especially Prem players) are going to look at City thinking that, no matter how well they play (Bellamy & Given were City's 2 best players last season), they could be replaced & being forced to take a step backwards & join a smaller club.

The other thing you must consider is that all these players are good mates. Joe Hart said after the game at the w/end that he has pissed off all his mates because they all play for Spurs, for example. If City continue mistreating their players then the players will only be telling their friends at other clubs that it really is not worth joining them, especially if City carry on making promises they cannot deliver.
