First i want to say that first 60 mins was best game i ever watched. We were playing football from other planet....but we could not score. I think we HAVE TO buy finisher. I would sell Keane and Pav here we could get 20 mil+. Keane is not that fast anymore and without his speed he is not same player as he was few years ago. Also it would allow GDS play more games, i fell he would do well in role that was once Keane playing but he would be also playing LW and RW. So who to buy i still hope its Dzeko since City are not gooing for him Mancini said after Ballotelli and Millner they are done. Dzeko said few days ago that he don't want to play in Bundesliga anymore he feels that he should try in stronger league. I dont see any italian club having enough money to buy him, Real and Barca are only teams in spain that could afford him but wont be after him. Man utd already bought few attackers so i can see us or chealsea that would be intrested in him.

I could not agree with you more Cor. I was thinking the same thing throughout and even more so after the game had finished.
As you said, we need that natural class up front to put the ball in the onion sack, but also, the second half, we need someone who can just make something out of nothing like Roo, Torr, Drog, etc do for their respective clubs, when you really needed a goal, like today!
We could all see that in the match today, so I hope to god that 'Arry can see it too.
Could you imagine if Suarez took half of those chances.... oh well...

As I've already said in the match day thread, we need two players. One great forward. One great defender.
Too much time seems to have been spent chasing midfield players that we just don't need. Our middle four were fine today. Our bench midfielders were good too. And that was without Niko, Bentley, Rose, O'Hara and JJ!!
TWO PLAYERS, HARRY! Now, go get 'em!!

We wont buy Dzeko or Suarez unfortunately....but we do need a class striker.

I dont think Suarez and Dzeko are unrealistic. As I said Dzeko want out of German league badly and Suarez wont start forever in Dutch league , did u see his reaction when Jol subbed him last game. Agree with Forland and i don't want Fabiano here personaly. I don't like Huntelaar he reminds me of Pav. I haven't watched much Remy but alot ppl rate him so he should be good, apparently his stile is like Henry's

Really? Did we stumble across £25-£35 million to spend on one player that I wasn't aware of, also both of those player would demand high wages. We need to stop living in this fantasy world were we could 1. Afford these players and 2. Those players want to come here.

Even Bellamy would do a very good job for us with the amount of chances we create. Keane did not look the same player as he was in pre-season when he came on which is a worry. Crouch worked hard but is better as a impact sub, Defoe had a off game and Pav wanted to shoot on every touch lol. If we could get a world class striker in it would make a massive difference but if not then Bellamy for Keane would be a improvement imo.

We should be able to afford to buy these players!! i just purchased our long sleeve home shirt with modric on back & number plus the shorts................£94.00 fecking gobsmaked!!! What I dont really understand is how in the recent past weve spent & spent to get to where we are ie CL & now that we are on the brink of it we aint got those top targets in. If we had got 1 or 2 top top players in we would be showing we mean buisness, im all for having a salary cap but if these kinda players get offered an xtra 20-30-40 A WEEK you cant blame them. WE are passinate fans we love the club, the structure the history everthing about it even 1 or 2 of us came round to last seasons home shirt, but for alot of these players unless its a significant jump say leaving Ajax to join Barca then the player more often than not will look to go to the best offer thats on the table ie Joe Cole. Perhaps we should look to increase this cap im hoping this will be the case if we get into the CL group stages.
