I hear his name all the time.! Seems like he has been around for ages.!! I spend all my reserves of energy following the first team. I sometimes should pay attention to our other squad members. Can anyone give me the real on the pitch sort of low down on Andros Townsend. What is his style of play and qaulities. I'm more than curious not so much stats 'n' and figures. More like his potential on the pitch.

I don't think you are too biased at all Smithy, he is a little bit of a left-sided Lennon. I would actually say, comparatively in terms of age, that his final ball & awareness in the final 3rd is probably better than Lennon's but, altho quick, he ain't as quick as little Lezza . . . sorry, I should say Azza or Lennon, Lezza just sounds wrong

Yeah I spoke to him about his pace, he seemed confident he would be faster than Lennon without the ball. He told me that he is faster than Bale without the ball and that Walker is quicker than him (Andros) I think we have enough pace for two teams



Also just got off the phone to him and he's not over the moon as he is a proper yid and hoped to wear our shirt this year but he understands its good for his career so he is gonna work his socks off so that next season he will be part of the plans.

Ipswich isn't too strong in the midfield IIRC so it's a good place for Townsend to go. He should get his chances to play.

at school he took on the Ronaldinho look the other way passing style, love to see him do it in the prem lol

Andros apparently returning to us after making 14 starts and 2 sub appearances for Ipswich, he scored a great headed goal a couple of weeks back against Swansea too. I think they are trying to save money although the story says we want him back as he has not been playing, which is strange as he has been one of town's best performers, Jake Livermore on the other hand hasn't been playing too much, although he did get a run out yesterday in the snow.

it looks like niko is going to leave and it looks like were gonna get rid off bentley and gio,would anyone let townsend have a chance next season in the 1st team as cover for lennon or bale if steven piennar is injured too
