Martin Jol looking to buy Tottenham hitman Robbie Keane when his move to Fulham is finalised - report - Goal.com
Hope this doesnt happen, I wouldnt like if he want to a london club tbh. It wouldnt be right, he would be getting ripped to shreds if he went, which is not what he deserves. He has been apart of our club for years and deserves all respect and credit for our recent success.
Surely we can get more than 5m for Keane? He'd have been snapped off our hands by now for that low a price.
this story was also in the telegraph, jol has been given 20 million to spend.....I just want him out, hes done us good but its time to move on.
7 to 9 and you've got a deal.
I was thinking that too, 5 million for a player who has had a highly successfull career. I would happily take 10 mill IMO.
Agreed. I appreciate all the Keane has done for the club, but its time to move on.
7-10 million would be awesome. Levy always surprises!
Frankly 5 million is an insult, its time for him to go but I don't think I'd be happy for 5 mill. Am expecting at least 7, will be. good to see lol in the pre again.
Love to see a bidding war for Keane between Fulham and Villa. Bump that price up as close to 10 mil as possible.

You know, when I was watching the World Cup, I was impressed by the tactical knowledge of three managers, Spain, Chile and Uruguay. The last of whom I liked the most. They played with three forwards in Cavani on the left, Forlan middle and Suarez right. When they did not have the ball, the two wide forwards stayed wide to stretch the defense, when they did have the ball, they tucked in with Forlan dropping back to be in the hole. I thought Spurs might do well in this formation and was thinking about Keane possibly fitting into the left hand slot.
I honestly wouldn't sell him for less than 10m.
Keane is such a polarizing figure for these boards. He treated the relationship with the club in a business manner and it keeps me from having the feeling of loyalty to other players. No ill will towards him, just no great admiration either.
If we sell him can we sell him for what we paid the bindippers for him? if not i would like to keep him so he can have his season in CL because of how important he has been for the club. would be completely unfair in my eyes that a yahoo like Jenas the Penis will get to taste some CL nights while Keane cannot.![]()
Sexiest Spurs Fan!!!
We'll be lucky to sell Keane for 10 million, I'd snap somebody's hands off for 5 Million, he's not the player he used to be, his legs have gone now. Think about 5 million sounds right, least we would get a high earner of the wage bill too!
