why do so many fans on here talk us down when it comes to signing players he wont come because of this or that we are a big club with great ambition and going places why wouldnt a special player want to come to us
not that fussed about joe cole is he any better than modric or kranjcar err no and its not always about wages its about ambition and playing for a team going forward
Modric is a great little player, Kranjcar is no Joe Cole though. I agree with your second point. Hopefully he knows something we dont about the recent bids for new ownership.
I'm not knocking our club but as said by a couple on this site, these players that pass up our club have some ambition. If Suarez opts to go to United instead of us because "they are the best club in the world and I want to play here" than I wont argue with that. They have had their European success, and in recent years we have not.
We are definitely a club going forward so hopefully that draws some players to use, especially if we get another top 4 finish and do well in the champions league.
But at the end of the day, money is the key
i think we can attract better players than dodgy knees bellamy we should be aiming higher he is no better than wat we have already if a player chooses manu over us fair enough but i think we will get a special player we play great football and have a talented squad and if comes down to wages get rid of some of the deadwood so we can pay a little extra deadwood being hutton jenas bentley and bae unless he can improve his attuide and show some passion instead of just picking up his wages
I agree 100% with you, its just getting the players to come in....we've missed out on a couple of our targets already, reasons that are unknown in some cases. But I hope we get someone in who wants to wear our shirt and perform no matter what they're getting paid.
If we get quality signings that keep us in the champions league for another year we'll be able to pay that little more for players. That way we'll get the ones we want. Levy will loosen up the wage structure if we have success in the league and champions league because we'll be in the position to afford it.
We're not a big club, at least not on the European stage yet (recently that is). The team we have, with a few improvement, should be able to compete with the big guns soon. We'll have status and we'll get better players. It just requires grit and determination.
We're getting there but we're not there yet, I'm not puting us down but players want to play in the champs league every season, we have only just got to the qualifiers you can't expect top top players to just suddenly realise we're big. It'll come in time, when they see what we can do this season they'll soon take note![]()

We can all sit around and say we are a big club but that doesn't put us in the CL for an extended period of time. We are a larger than average club but we need consistent success before we are up with the big boys.
we do not need joe we need to make our own jems, we have the talent to win so i am not worried, we are still a better team than pool and we just need to continue to rise in the table, arse are looking weird if we can keep up our good form we could finish better
outside liverpool man utd chelsea is there a club bigger than us man city havent won **** all for years nethier has arsenal so for me they arent bigger than us but yet from wat i can gather from alot of people on here we aint a big club and you can attract top players if you aint in the CL as long as a player sees that you are showing ambition to get to that and are close to it and unless im mistaken we are
If Suarez opts to go to United instead of us because "they are the best club in the world and I want to play here"
United imo are not the biggest or best club in the world, and far from it
