The agent of Shakhtar Donetsk winger Darijo Srna has revealed a move to England is on.
Srna has been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham and Igor Stimac said: “But if a transfer happens, than my prediction is that he will not move to Barcelona. It is more likely that he will sign for club from England.

He is maybe only linked with us cuz we have 3 croats playing here but everyone who knows about football will know that right now there is no place for him in the team.

Also he said if he moves away from donezk then its to get to one of the biggest and best clubs in the world who play champions league on a regular basis.

We dont play CL on a regular basis and donezk does + he is captain there.
Would be a stupid move to come to us since we cannot even pay his wages.

No, not for us, but he was linked with Chelsea a couple of times and they have no wingers to speak of.
Sadly, though, Srna seems to be declining, I haven't seen him play a good game since the Uefa Cup final. I think he needs something to play for and he's all out of goals in Ukraine.

Joe Cole and Srna are both fantastic players, but IMO Spurs do not need any of these players, because Spurs are so good in that positions that you can say: we do not need them and that is something wonderful for you!

Theres been talk of Joe Cole coming to us for ages, I like the fella but do we really need him, and do you think he would bring anything extra to our team.

Cole would deffo bring loads to Spurs - exactly what we are missing - a player who has been there & done it all before. I often hear people say how we will miss out on the top 4 because we don't have players who have been there before.

I think we need to look beyond a player's individual quality or style of play & see what they bring to the team in general. We don't currently have players like Cole or Srna at Spurs & we do need them imo. Players who can play several positions, several formations without batting an eyelid, players who can command respect thru the team, players with tons of experience, players who lead by example, winners who don't let their heads drop when going a goal behind.

It all depends on who leaves us in the summer also.

If and when we buy new players then they have to be top quality in order to improve us as a team.
Im not convinced Srna and J Cole will achieve this objective.
