i know it is early to say about the summer tranfer window what with the january one just closed but we all know the real business will be done in the summer

spurs will not have as much dosh on them as usual but we all know harry loves his signings and so do spurs fans

here are the players i would like during the summer:

I think that he's saying he think's they'll go because they want to (Modric and Lennon), like if we dont get Champions League football. They'll be a few teams knocking if we do miss out, thats for sure.

I'm surprised you've not inquired about Beckford. He'll score plenty in the prem, would be a bargain at £10mil .

The problem isn't Tottenham letting players go , the problem is when another team taps them up and turns their heads . ( Like Berbatov and Keane )

Who wouldn't be interested in our top players and why wouldn't our top players want a massive pay rise and CL football . ( Like Berbatov and Keane - and before that Carrick and Sheringham = they all left for more money and guaranteed CL football and all to Man Utd ) .

The only way that we could possibly keep our top players with the wages our club offers is by having CL football , even then it would only last until their heads get turned , after the first taster season and the bigger wage offers come flooding in .

I hate to think that we could end up losing any of our quality players , but it wasn't so long ago that most people here wanted Bentley gone . I just wanted Bentley to knuckle down and compete for his place . I remember Lennon playing awful and it was Bentley that was running our right wing , but then Harry came and staightened Lennon out .

But dont ever kid yourself that players will stay at our club because we have big ambitions . Every club tells its players it has big ambitions . Players get itchy feet if they feel their carreer going to waste . When we tell players we want CL football , then we go on to drop points to the teams we have this season , then we have to question where our CL future is going to come from . Up until this season we have witnessed the sky 4 drop points to each other and rarely make as many mistakes as they have this season against the bottom half teams . But the one season it happens in abundance we have not only failed to raise our games and take advantage , we have been guilty of the same mistakes .

Jermaine Jenas is a different kettle of fish though , he is a lightweight and a liability = he has no passion so the sooner he is gone the better .

If a player was denied a transfer and was made to see out his contract then thats how the player would behave = like Jenas does ( he doesn't give a f*ck ) . So if a player wants out = the best thing you can do is get as much as you can out of the deal and move on .

Players should want the club to win , not just the team they are part of when and if they get the chance . But what Jenas did against Birmingham was out and out cnutish = because he was subbed on with just a minute left on the clock - he deliberately handed possession to them and then watched as they attacked us through the position he should have been standing in . If i was the manager i would have fined him 2 weeks wages on the spot and subbed him straight off to drive the point home .

i think with Modric he would stay if we atleast get some Europe spot next year. Lennon maybe as well because of us moving forward from last year. Sometimes people want to see progress toward the goal of getting the CL football.

Atm it's a question about keane and hutton. Lennon/Modders are Dimitar Berbatov-esque problems - thx to club that Lennon put pen to his new contract earlier but to be honest their future depends on their matches and on the CL teams
we all don't want to read 5 days before summer window closes the news on the official site that Lennon/Modrić went to a better ("childhood") club and we must buy last-minute..
And what about GK's? Why Alnwick is always out of Harry's mind? Will Redknapp buy another goalkeeper? What about CB's? Will Woodgate and King retire at the end of season? And what about Sandro? Will he come?

If we qualify for champions league i would want us to get better quality players than christopher samba/brede hangeland ..who are overrated imo, i would rather see upson instead of them

Also i would`nt want to see any of these players below go purely because they would be the quality & experience you need in the champions league if we get there .It would be a massive blow to the club if we lost at least five of these players & be steps backwards in the wrong direction .

I would like to see O'Hara come back. He's been excellent on a terrible Pompey team, and I think he still has a role to play for us in midfield.

Sandro would be a strong signing. However, I'm beginning to think we won't get him, with this transfer talk dragging on for 6 months already. Harry also either needs to pick up a keeper, or state that he believes in our youth. Same with striker. If Pav is going to rot on the bench, why not bring Kane, Oyenuga, or even Obika into the team instead?

Sadly, Woodgate needs to go. His injury woes have begun to affect us too much, and we're not wealthy enough to keep him on the books if he will be injured 90% of the time.

I think Lennon and Luka will give it 1 more season. Don't really think anyone in epl has that much money to tap them up at min apart from city.

the real problem is up front Crouch is a nice bloke but no where near good enough I'm sorry to say. Spurs need to spend all there money getting this right forget another cb or cm. up front is a massive problem.
