SPURS have offered Robbie Keane to West Ham in a bid to lure Carlton Cole to White Hart Lane.


Boss Harry Redknapp wants to shake up his strike force as Tottenham seek to clinch a Champions League spot.

Redknapp failed in a bid to sign Cole before the start of the season.

And new West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold have vowed not to sell any of their top stars in this transfer window.
Instead they are desperately seeking to sign at least two new strikers themselves as partners for Cole.

And they may try to strike a straight bargain for Keane now it is clear Spurs are ready to offload him.

Keane only re-joined Tottenham a year ago after a miserable six-month stint at Liverpool. But the goals have dried up for him.

Sunderland, Aston Villa and Celtic are all interested in giving him a fresh start.
Redknapp recently insisted Keane was staying but is willing to reconsider his options as attempts to sell Roman Pavlyuchenko continue to stall.

i know keane hasn't been bagging them in of late as we all want him too. however i do feel his past few games have seen an improvement. However trading him for Cole is not what i believe is best for the team.

Why not trade him for beckford? seems he's pretty good against the 2 PL clubs he's played this month.

Never been a massive Cole fan sound like more long balls to me. Think Harry needs to make the most of the players we've got til a least some1 good comes up.

I tell ya what I would swap him a million times over for Crouchy.

I know this will be controversial but Crouchy cant header for sh1te is slow as hell and contributes towards us playing a real anti style of football, AND I F*CKING HATE WATCHING IT.

Cole would maybe be able to win one of foookin Dawson's sh1tty humps up the field and hold on to it to link up with JD. He has some pace also and you would be able to hit his feet without the ball bouncing 10 foot in the air like it does with Crouchy every time without fail giving the defender a real chance of nicking it off him.

Cole for Crouch.............Yes please.

Well I disagree I'm afraid

Crouch is the long-ball guy. Cole is a very good holding player. Roll the ball along the ground and he'll hold it like Ricardo Fuller.

Let's face it, Crouch isn't the best at holding the ball for Defoe because he is awfully gangly. It takes him an hour for his leg to swing back and hit the thing. Like the giant pendulum at the science museum lmao. I'll stop laying into him now.

PLUS - We've all seen how good Cole is at passing to Defoe when they're opponents so imagine them as team-mates!

I like Carlton Cole, although I wouldn't start him for England over Defoe just as I would choose Lennon over the overrated Theo Apricot.

Despite Pav's large improvement against Leeds, I still think he's way ahead of Keane in likelyhood to be sold.

I think Cole would do well for us, but this could leave us with 5 or 6 strikers (Defoe, Keane, Pav, Crouch, Gudjohnsen, Cole)

I never rated COLE before but he"s improved so much, he looks a player now and I"d swap me grannie to get rid of Crouch
