Angelo Dundee boxing trainer extaordinaire has passed away .
For those too young to know this amazing man he was the trainer not only to the great Cassius Clay/Muhammed Ali but also trained 15 world champions in total including Sugar Ray Leonard and George Foreman .
The absolute pinnacle of his profession .
R.I.P.

Sad news. He stood out as real gentleman in a world turned sleezy by slimebags like Don King. Nice that he managed to make Ali's birthday party last month. RIP.
“Ordinary shops sell what look like black socks, but if you look closely, you'll see that they're very, very, very, very, very, very, very dark blue"
Sad news indeed. R.I.P. Angelo - a great servant for boxing and part of the sport's greatest double act.
If I'm not mistaken, it was Angelo Dundee whom Burgess Meredith emulated for his role as "Micky' in the Rocky movies. Dundee was not just a great manager, but one of the truly unique characters of sport.
a proper legend...........R.I.P
R.I.P. Always remembered for his services to boxing.. A true legend in his own right..![]()
