Very disapointing that he had to follow his buddy out the door but in normal Kev fashion has total gone with his attitude that what he's says goes.

I dont think there is any arguing that he deserved this after god knows how many warnings about public display of posts which could disrupt the forum.

After this post tonight i gave Kev an infraction ( an infraction which was just a polite warning again and nothing more ) :

Now before anyone asks why this was done in public, well because some of you liked him and will want an explanation , id like to show you before you hear some total rubbish from Kev at a meeting.

I dont know anyone else on the forum that has ever cause so much bickering between members and cause so much unrest on the forum than these two people that have just left. I hope that those of you that are their friends will still hang around here and the trouble will now totally disappear. 4 years of this site running and two guys nearly single handily took it to its knees, Very sad if you ask me.

As a result there will be some changes which i will be announcing sometime today ( monday ) Some new moderators , some new VIP's also which we have been meaning to promote for sometime but because of this hassle the past month we though it was best not to.

Also some adjustments to the rules, Swearing rules being one of them which will be adjusted so that swearing will only be heavily punished with an infraction or warning IF its directly aimed at another member to cause offence. Normal chat/banter will be more relaxed. Of course that doesnt mean F and C in every sentence and the censor will still be switched on.

This is from what some guys had mentioned with the rules being enforced but mods a i had also been seen swearing , we understand that and it needed to be addressed.

I will go into more details tomorrow however.

This thread will remain open until 5pm tomorrow , so anything that needs to be said feel free if its with in reason , if you really have to get something off your chest then please PM me and i will try and resolve your issue.

Please remember the forum is not the place to post things that could harm the forum , or another member especially since there has been a huge amounts of warnings recently about it. Kev just doesnt listen .

Bickering.. and talking down to other members, shouldn't happen. Kev seemed a nice guy, sure he stepped over the limit many times, as have other members... But seems to over stepped his mark.

I'm here for the banter, but not for insults.

I love Spurs. And I come here to talk to fans even if they disagree, this place is for discussions and I love being proved wrong (such as when I said Pav should be sold... [Ye, shoot me]) and arguing my corner... If people feel like they can't do this due to being belittled thanks to Kev.. then it's the right decision..

I think he's a good guy, but... you're the boss and I don't know what happens behind the scenes.

Kev seemed like a decent enough guy, and I'm sure his heart is actually a Spurs cockeral. But it was starting to get to a point where it was boring, other regs were turning on others, and others started to stop posting. I know I was starting to get that way, not that I blame Swanny and Kev for it all! But from what mods and, yourself were saying Riv - the stuff being said behind closed doors seemed to lead to them being at the root of the majority of it!

You guys do a lot for this forum, so I respect what you have decided is right for the place.

Hopefully the forum will rise again, we got an exciting few months to be Tottenham fans so this place should be buzzing with excitement. Then after that, we got the World Cup so with the amount of different nations represented on here, it should be good fun during that month aswell!

maybe not my place to comment as iv only been on here a month but i like the site and posters and mods alike seem friendly enough. the banter seems ok without getting nasty. it seems if some ppl want to cross the line they are being dealt with which is only good for the site.

Drama no matter how much you avoid it you will run into it at one point or another, I personally have no problem with either of them so I won't take sides, what I will say is that we should really write this stuff down and turn it into some sort of reality show and milk it for all it's worth:P.

a really sad day for me personally.kev and me started on here around the same time and really hit it off.were both passionate people and say what what we mean and thats the way its been on here fro the begining.kev is spurs through and through and i will always admire him for it.i even had kev over in dublin with me and had a great time.off the forum he is oneof the most easy going caring and generous blokes you could ever meet and bends over backwards to help anyone that needs hel with tickets etc,ive no doubt he would give you his last pound if he thought you needed it.its been rerally hard for me to have a mod and friend hat on at the same time,but i will say here and now that i back what riv and us mods have had to do 100%.theres been loads of crap behind the scences now for a good few weeks and it has lead to alot of grief and heartache and misery for eveyone involved.at one stage riv was even thinking of packing it in it got so bad ,si hopefully thaT WILL GIVE YOU AN INSIGHT INTO HOW BAD IT GOT.im going to end on a postive,i hope to see kev in the future and buy him a beer and have a good chat about all things spurs as that seems to be when hes happiest and thats how i want to remember him,with a beer in his hand and a smile on his face.coys and lets get this forum back to what it was,the best spurs forum on the net.cheers mark.

Sad day. For me Kev and Swanny were a part of the character of the forum, color, if you will. I couldn't really get mad at either of them because I couldn't really take them seriously. I will be missing their posts.
Having said that, if they crossed the line and were fairly warned, there's nothing more to be said about it.
So up with our gaffa and long may he live (with no unpleasant gastric side-effects)!
Here's hoping some groveling and bonding ensues and we see the sanctioned one in our midst once again after he's served his time...

Didn't get to post in the Swanny thread, but sad to see both Swanny and kev leave, the same would be said for any Spurs fan. In the end we are all here for the same reason... Tottenham Hotspur. However, we've got to respect the job Riv & the Mods do to make this site what it is.
Hopefully we can now get back to the main focus which is our Spurs...

Certainly a sad day for the forum. I joined awhile ago and have always been fans of kev and swanny. They both brought a uniqueness to the forum as well as quality posts.

That said, the rules of the forum are clear. It is obvious to me that each of them violated these rules in some form. Furthermore, it is up ti Riv and the mods to keep things under control here and if this is what they deem necessary then I support it 100%. No one person is bigger than the forum, i guess this should be a lesson for all of us.

I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute i've spent here, which is probably why I keep coming back every day and staying up late into the night reading the banter. Here's to the future success of the forum!
