I suspect Corluka is mainly here to cover the entire injury prone back four. It's not a bad team but it's not ever going to worry the top four. Not enough world class, not enough strength in depth, no quality defensive midfielders at all, al lot of inexperience at prem level etc etc.

I thinks you don"t know much about Corluka, but he is one of best defenders in league, he said that he wouldn"t come in Tottenham if he is not going to play..

Mate I thinks you don't know too much about our back four ! lol. There is ALWAYS at least one of those four missing through injury. It's Hutton now, then it will be King, then when King's fit again it'll be Woodgate etc etc. Corluka will play evey week, but he may have to play in a different position across the back four every week.
BTW do you know if Corluka can play left back as well ? That may be his best chnace of a permanent place, with Bale moving to midfield, cos thay boy is NOT a defender.

Can Corluka play def mid ? Be absolutely fantastic if he can, but I thought he was just a very versatile defender ie anywhere along the back four.

Bale is a fantastic attacking full back and ideally I would like to see him at LW but we don't have any other option that is even decent at LB unless Corluka can play there
