I did find this really good, being of the younger generation a lot of this i havn't even seen before, so its nice to see some action from the glory days, and i hope i get to witness some of the glory days my self over the next few years
Of course i guess it brings back some sweet memories from older generarations than myself... Is that the PC way to put it?
some awesome goals there. Alot of long shots but I prefere the team build up ones. Still nice to see some of the fantastic strikes.
Some brilliant players we have had. If we had few more of them at once we would have been unstoppable.

Football evolves just like the very people who play it and watch it , These very clips show how football is now played with almost scientific approaches now rather than the days when players would go to the pub after the game = sometimes even before the game and that Carlsberg advert has some players who did just that

Now because of big sponsorships and the big spending owners that demand success = you are looking at supreme atheletes with special skills on diets to maximise performances and managers being sacked if they cant produce such athletes every time the team walk out .
In the past there was no substitutions , so players would carry on playing whilst injured -therefore players were more hardy = these days the slightest knock or tug of a shirt and players go down like they have been shot dead .
Some of what you watch today is great on the eyes and some of it makes me sick to my stomach - so i would say that the past although slower was sometimes better than watching what some of the fairies are up to these days - but the great skills on display counters the disgrace of the few that think its fine to con the ref = otherwise i think i could just walk away if the cheating takes too firm a grip of what is the most watched and followed sport in the world .

I'm so glad Mabbutt's header is in there. I remember that one when he scored it like it was yesterday! People just don't score diving headers like they used to, altho you'll probably get a 2 match ban for it these days!!
Great watch as it threw in some of the more obscure, tho no less great, goals from times gone by.
