What a pr*ck...he only got a 5 week ban for this. It didn't, but that could have seriously injured Ashton.

it's quite funny how rugby players are usually such terrible fighters - he left himself right open to that one, lucky that tuilagi threw himself into it rather than transferring his full power into the punch.

5 Weeks? Too much.... It's a fight, he didn't stab someone.

How the NFL handles a fight with one of it's marquee players? Suspension = 0 games

He probably should have got a couple games.

Those girly punches though are a bit different to that one i just posted though weren't they?! Those were just slaps with a clenched fist!

And the commentator right at the end of that video said "that's going to get him suspended" so surely that can't be normal that there's no punishment? I wouldn't know though.

Girly punches? Dude that you posted hit a guy that wasn't expecting a punch. We call that bitch-made where I'm from.

American football fights always look a little silly because of the pads and players struggling to get off their helmets. I wasn't comparing to the two fights but just highlighting what a ridiculous punishment 5 weeks is for fighting.

It's all part and parcel of rugby lads.

I lost count of the amount of on field scraps I had whilst playing.

Lets face it rugby is a very physical game and with adrenaline pumping through your body it is easy to snap.

I have seen even the most placid men break and go mad on tue rugby pitch.

He should not have got banned for more than 5 games, it was not a spear tackle and let's face it Chris Ashton is not an angel.

Or it's like Rugby with athleticism....

At my alma mater we have kids riding the bench that are faster then any rugby player in the world.

You do realize that many NFL players choose between the NFL and professional track careers.

Fighting is one thing but that's just plain thuggery...there's no place for that in rugby.

      Rules of rugby:

"10.4a - Striking an opponent with the hand, arm or fist including the elbow. Lower end offence, sanction = 1 week. Upper end = 12 weeks."

He got off lightly if you ask me.
