real or barca???

probably one of the biggest derbies in europe, so who do y'all prefer, catalonia's barcelona or the all white madrid galacticos???

i prefer barca, my auntie, uncle and 3 cousins always used to go over to barca on hols and always brought me back a barca top, so i always preferred barca, also there seems to be more arrogance about madrid, they always seem to think they are the best when they have done f*ck all the past 5 years apart from 2 championships, they have robbed the EPL of two of its biggest stars, ronaldo and alonso, and robbed kaka off milan and spent a kings ransom on new players

i like to watch barca play, they play beautiful football and have deservedly won everything they entered this year, messi, ibrahimovic and henry up front, what would i give

Not that much of a derby to be honest. Most Spanish people support 1 of the 2 since we're all sheep out here. ****ing hate it. They are the only 2 decent teams in the whole of Spain, hence why they are "elite". Madrid are the Man City of Spain, you can't just buy a team full of stars and expect to win.
Barça are a "homegrown" team who have got the team and keep the team, like they say, it's "mes que un club"... more than a club, it's a family. But I hate all their fans saying "omg we got the sextuple".. no you didn't, you don't know how football works, you have won 2 triples in consecutive years. Yet it seems as though all the newspapers and media out here don't know that you have to win those cups in the same football season, not the same year. Sure, Barça can go on to win it, but they haven't done it yet.

It's the super-cups though mate, although they are considered 'lesser' trophies they are still the ones up from the previous competitions. The champions of champions.

i used to like madrid in the days of robben cannavaro and sneijder and when the kit was white with black/purple sleeve stripes but since perez took over and turned them into team cristina that made 8 year old chav wannabe boys go crazy for them

i turned to barca because the football they play is top class very entartaining with the big [ibrahimovic] small [messi] partnership and also their most important player xavi its a wonderfull expericance to watch barca even after watching A BORING serie a match

I get what you're saying mate, just think it's silly if you needed to win the super-cups in the same season as the others, when you qualify for the super-cups through winning the CL etc. Although they're not in the same season, they're progressive trophies and should go from bottom to top rather than vice versa surely?

Either way it's still an amazing feat that they achieved, 6 trophies entered and 6 trophies won. No other team in Spain had ever done the treble before.
