Malaga has Middle Eastern backing but it was bought last summer. Getafe got bought and now they're "Getafe Team Dubai." I wish the investors would have bought a Valencia or Villareal and got them out of debt, those two are closer to the big boys than Malaga or Getafe.

Hopefully you're right and the owners backed off the horrible name. They would be the laughingstock of the league, with the Getafe Team Dubai and the Burger King jerseys.
Marca reported it as bollocks, and as of yet, there hasn't been a name change.
Checked it out and you're right. If you google "Getafe Team Dubai" all the stories are from around April 21st when the team was bought. Nothing since then. And then the Marca story about no name change as well. What I wonder is why the owners haven't bought anyone yet, I remember them saying their goal was to be as big as Real Madrid.
Both Malaga and Getafe have new owners that are loaded. While normally I don't like sugar daddy owners, in La Liga, I'm all for it. Anything that potentially breaks up the top 2 is a good thing.
Plus Getafe have come out with some hilarious stuff.

Joaquin is still good but not as good as he was a few years ago. Van Nistelrooy is old and wasn´t even first choice in Hamburg although i know everyone here thinks he is God. Toulalan is a great signing, Demichelis ... don´t need to tell you anything about him, Mathijsen is a good signing, Baptista is a decent signing also, don´t know much about Sergio Sanchez, how good is he?
