And they think they are going to be able to pay for Fabregas?!?
Also, didn't Yaya Toure just rake in £25m odd for them!?
Mental.
So glad to support Tottenham Hotspur.

Yup +1 , but huge thanks have to go to Lewis & Levy for that , coz when Sugar was chairman all he did was allegedly to rape the coffers , it is well known that he allegedly took out £60m more than he put in .
meh. this situation is less dramatic than in the other top clubs that that have huge debts, it's just a need to write something dramatic about FC Barcelona as there hasn't been much drama around there for a few years. the situation is serious but the alarm bells are nowhere near to be ringing. journalist crap
Barca are one of the last teams you'd expect to be in financial trouble, I think they'll be fine though no chance of them folding or having to have a fire sale to survive. Sorry Cesc lol looks like your staying in London.
So so sick, especially that as soon as real madrid get close to some trouble they are just bailed out and have hundreds of millions of debts absorbed.

Wouldn't this a good opportunity to put in a cheeky bid? for a player
probably just a cash injection in order to sign fabregas

Haha, yeah, surley a cheeky bid for Ibra is worth a shot!
They have been in debt for years now. When Laporta took over he steadied the ship and began paying them off whilst helping the club build at the same time. He never cleared the debt though. Also consider they don't have a shirt sponsor that brings them money, and buying Villa for 40m. It's a problem yes, but nothing that sounds too serious than what they've had in the past and I'm sure there is more to it (i.e. money for Cesc) than what is being reported.
"You score goals as a kid. Then you grow up stupid and become a goalkeeper."
WTF?
This is madness.
They are one of the biggest global brands around.
The football credit crunch is in full swing and if it does catch hold we will clean up with Levy at the helm.
Well that wont be problem for them as they are club which gets most money for sponsors deals thats why they dont need shirt sponsor. They would be in trouble if had few bad seasons in league and cl sth like Liverpool.
panem et circenses
I think thats Real Madrid, i remember a few years back the Spanish royal family or someone in power just wiped their 600m debt. You could be right but i i think its something that goes deeper than football, Madrid being the Royal city and Catalunia being the place of culture which is more anti-Monarchy.
Or maybe i just have no clue
