Stars on Shirts

Alright there,

so with the big match coming up I just noticed that Man City have 3 stars on their badge.
Now in other leagues you get these for winning the title a certain number of times or for winning in Europe. For example in the SPL Rangers have about a gazillion stars because they have won the league that often and Aberdeen have 2, because they have 2 European titles.
And obviously national teams get them too for winning a World Cup.
However no team in the Premier League seems to do this, yet Man City have 3 stars. Does anyone know why they have them on their badge?
And does anyone know why English teams don't go in for the whole stars on shirts thing? I think 3 stars for our European exploits would look great underneath our badge.

Well in Germany Bayern have it for winning the league x amount of times. Think they need to win the league 10 times or something like that for each star.

Yeah I seen that mate but originally it was only for cl final wins, ac Milan and a few others always had them and even the bundippers had 5 on theirs, Celtic had one because they won the European cup so rangers adopted the league winning stars to counter that ec win

I think Shitty's 3 stars represent how many billions of ££££'s they'll have to spend before anyone considers them a big club.
