Okay, I'm moving to the UK in just over a month and trying to sort out what I need to do to get myself to a Spurs away game.
I'll be up in Scotland first, and my idea is to get the train from Edinburgh (or Glasgow) to Wigan on the 24th of September, and meet my friend who will come up from London. We would then attempt to get a train to London after the game.
My questions are pretty much this:
How long does the train from Edinburgh to Wigan take, and how long does the train from London to Wigan take? (The New Zealand vs France Rugby World Cup game is on in the morning and ideally we'd be able to watch that before departing?)
I will have all my luggage on me that I will have brought from New Zealand; would the Wigan train station have storage lockers I could put my bags in while the game is on?
How far away from the train station in Wigan is the stadium, i.e. what is the latest we could get in to Wigan by to comfortably make it to the game?
Is it worth staying a night in Wigan, or (as I suspect) would you want to get out of there quick smart?
What are the train services after the game down to London like?
How hard will getting tickets for this game be for someone with no membership (yet)?
Thanks very much in advance.
