Hello Mr Shady, sir. I do have a question for you.
As I'm sure you're aware, the current Oireachtas was formed in 1937, rising from the Irish Free State's version of Parliament. That in turn followed the solely Republican Dáil Éireann, itself a child of the first recognisable body of National Government formed under the constraining Poyning's Law in 1494.
So, to my main point: for the first time since the days of de Valera, there is talk of the Six Counties being given a voice in the Dáil; not necessarily direct voting power but perhaps represented in some kind of committee. This is supported by the likes of Sinn Fein and the SDLP while, predictably enough, it is opposed by Fine Gael and its loose cabal of supporters. With this in mind, I wonder if you could tell me if the ache in my right testicle is just a temporary thing or if you think I ought to see a doctor about it?
