didn't Kirkland push it on to bar/post?
didn't Kirkland push it on to bar/post?
You still have to have a case . . .
It looked like he did but the ball is moving so quick you can't really tell. The commentators on Sky Sports said that Kirkland did & I think he did but who cares, the ball ended up in the back of the net because of Bentley, not Kirkland

I don't think there was a deviation off Kirkland for the initial shot, but clearly the ball would have been heading away from the goal had it not been for it hitting Kirkland's back, so it's a definite OG for me. However, I still think Bentley would have gotten a huge morale boost for just hitting a strike like that.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
I know this is a bit of fun but for me it was an Oggy.
Serves DB right for not hitting it hard enough and precisely enough so their keeper got a touch.
I'm pretty sure Kirkland did get a touch you know, & the commentators said that he did also.
However, its besides the point. It is pretty clear that Bentley meant to stick it in the top corner via the crossbar & Kirkland's head, so it is still his Bentley's goal anyway!
Finally, using sophisticated, state-of-the art motion detection software, I have tracked the backspin on the ball as it came off the crossbar, which was sufficient enough that, if it had not hit Kirkland on the back, it would've spun back into the net regardless

Definitely Bentleys goal and what a hit.....petition signed...
Always on the look out for matchworn Spurs shirts, the older, the better....
done. hope he gets the goal it was a cracker
Sorry lads, Its an OG
It hit the bar, came back towards the pitch, hit the goalkeeper and went in
Its a stone wall OGGY
If Bullard's free-kick the other day against West-Ham can be awarded to Bullard, then surely Bentley's must go to Bentley!
Funny how some people think it went straight onto the bar whereas others believe Kirkland pushed it onto the bar first. Even the commentators can't agree, with the BBC saying the former & Sky the latter. The thing is, it is actually impossible to tell as it is too quick. I still think Kirkland got his fingertips to the initial shot but really, & I've watched it several times now, either could be true.
In such a case surely you have to give the benefit of the doubt to the striker? Still Bentley's goal

I have to agree, I was sitting just to the left of the goal and had a great view, as much as i would love to give it to DB it was an own goal.
