From the Daily Telegraph: Tottenham are the first Premier League side to sign up to the 10:10 climate change campaign. The club aim to cut their carbon output by 10% next year through measures such as reducing the wattage of the White Hart Lane floodlights.
Looks like we're at the top of the table off the pitch as well.
Lol yeah mate!
Sounds good too me, lets hope we can keep being the best team over the year :P
COYS
Decrease the wattage of the floodlights?!I want our first CL season in fook konws how long to be played under the brightest floodlights this earth can provide us with!!
Haha just kidding, anything to help the environment I suppose.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!

God were a classy club eh? Truly
I dont know if anybody knows but spurs groundsman got voted best groundsman last season = used to finish work at or after midight on home game days . "Something else to be proud of ya see".
Isnt it nice to say something about spurs without someone accusing us or somebody else of cheating .

Is it wrong that i dont really subscribe to the whole global warming scare?
No mate, have to say I'm with you on that.
It's ridiculous to even think that, after approx 20,000 years of civilisation, we make such an obvious impact in the past 100. The earth experiences all kinds of temperature changes all the time (3 ice ages?!) and we're just here at this point in time, so lets just cruise on regardless!
That said, being green is the buzzword at the moment so a shrewd move by Spurs to give us a good global image![]()
Well electricity only started to be widely used in the mid 1800's, so 150 years ago say. So its not ridiculous atall to say that we have made a large impact over the last 100 years. Not that carbon output is the only problem.
Its nice to see that Spurs are trying to do something at least, even if it might be a publicity stunt.
Just seems to me like the Earth is in a natural cycle, and changes in temperatures and the atmosphere are inevitable anyway.
Aparently in surveys with Scientist and Climatologists many agree (i think i read 17,000 scientists in a survey agreed... but then again i didnt see how many scientist took the survey overall)
Also temperature satellites have shown no difference in temperatures in the 25 odd years they have been deployed (seriously accurate satellites), contradicting the global 'warming' title
It seems governments are spending seriously stupid money on this, which is leading to tax hikes to cover it and costing taxpayers more
I think we do have a slight impact, but in the grander scheme of things it really isnt a great effect, and changing our ways wont make a difference. Its just gonna cost us more
EDIT- Agreed though batch, being green is the thing atm and it only improves our public image, good move by Levy!
A large impact maybe, but I'd still say a drop in the ocean in the grand scheme of things. Forest fires, for just one example, I'm sure must kick out the carbon of a few global businesses in one fell swoop. All I'm saying is that the earth has a natural progression to things, and maybe this reported "warming" is part of it, then again maybe gods just angry with the Polar Bears
Anyway, lets not argue about it, good times at the Lane!!
I cannot find words to express my joy at what we are doing to save the enviroment and help the climate.
"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
Wasnt trying to argue, just spark some interesting debate
I respect anyones opinions (if sensible of course) and i obviously understand why people see global warming as a threat... its just not something i agree with
anyways, i think we all agree its still a good move by the club, pioneering move too. Good times at the Lane.
Too soon to say Viva la Revolucion?
If you watch Al Gore's film, 'An Inconvenient Truth' you will find all this explained in a very accesible way. Basically, yes, the earth is on a climate change cycle, BUT, since the industrial revolution the numbers have gone way off the natural cycle - the only logical explanation for which is that the emissions caused by pollution is the culprit. Burying your head in the sand will not change this.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!
