....would you have signed for Spurs???

Apart from being the best team in England at the moment, lol...what reason did Crouch have for joining Spurs apart from being managed by Harry Redknapp?

I understand why he left Pompey, they are one of my favourites to go down this year....but I don't see him getting much playing time aslong as Keane is fit, as I feel Harry prefers him up front with Defoe!!!

If Keane gets injured, Crouch and Defoe can link up again like they are used to, but I just dont see him hitting the form he did a while back, especially if hes being used as a substitute!

If we had of signed the likes of Huntelaar, there is no doubt he would have been first choice with the others fighting it out for the other centre forward position, just interesting to know what you all think...
In a world full of City's and United's...there is only one Hotspur

Yeah because at the time JD and Keano were far from prolific.

Unfortunately for Crouchy JD is the best striker in the country at the moment and Keano has changed his game and been prety good at linking the play in a kinda diamond formation.

If JD can sustain his form and Keano can follow suit Neither Pav or Crouch will get much of a look in this season.

However Keano isnt the finished article in that position and JD can blow hot and cold as he has done before.

I personaly hope he doesnt get another minute as it would mean that JD and Keano were constantly in devostating form and we would be winning games week in and out. That is far from realistic though.

Crouchy will get his oportunity and when he does I hope we can adapt our play to suit his strengths.

Please no long ball though, its terible to watch as Wet Spam showed against us the other week.

I do rate Crouch. My biggest issue here is that in my mind Keane should have AT LEAST 3 goals this season. Robbie is still missing too many chances in my mind. I'm not ready to give up on him by any stretch but it does get a little bit frustrating. I still think he would do well slotted in behind some combination of Crouch/Pav/Defoe, keeping Modric out left , Lennon out right, and Wilson behind.

Its not all about Harry preferring Keano to Crouch. As Harry has said, Crouch gives us something other players cannot &, against some of the bigger, more physical teams & especially Away from Home, we will no doubt be more likely to start with Crouchy.

Against teams like Bolton & Blackburn, having too many little men is not going work. They'll just get pushed all over the place, we could easily be forced into going long (as often happened last season) & we don't have the height or physical presence for that without Crouch.
      King and Bongani,
      King and Bongani bong!!
      (watch out here they come!)

Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!

      Rafael, Van Der Vaart
      ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old

As I am still fairly new to this... Does age play a factor here? I vaguely remember someone telling me that the average age that players start seeing a big decline is around 30. Maybe he was looking for that last big contract before his skills take a turn for the worse.
