England's cricket hero Trott is a Yiddo!

Jonathan Trott, the man who stepped in for the faltering Ravi Bopara & made his international debut in the crucial deciding Ashes test match has let everyone know what a HUGE Spurs fan he is!.

Trott became the 18th Englishman in history to hit a century on their test debut & it was his stunning performance at the crease that allowed England to pull away from Australia & bring home the Ashes.

One of his prized possession's is a Spurs shirt that Harry signed for him as a wedding present.

"To Trotty. Up The Spurs, Harry Redknapp" reads the message

The England hero was having trouble concentrating as he fielded on Sunday because we played West Ham at the same time.

"I love Spurs, I'm a massive fan and it would be fantastic if they could get into the Champions League to go with us winning The Ashes. Even during the Test on Sunday, I caught the TV at lunchtime and checked on the Spurs line-up for the game against West Ham, just to make sure Harry got it right. I wanted to know the final score while I was fielding but I never did and only found out after we had won The Ashes."

It was flippin' fantastic watching reach his 100 the other day & he had already won me over before I even found out he was a Yiddo.

There is another wonderfully endearing quote towards the end of the article where he says:

"I've just met the wife of the guy who does the ticketing at White Hart Lane. She works for the ECB - maybe I can get tickets! It's amazing how the sea is opening up through playing cricket for England."

Quality. I ain't a big cricket fan most of the time but the Ashes is different. We were shocking at Headingly & I did not have my hopes up for the final at the Oval.

To come in from virtual obscurity & hit a 41 in his 1st innings & a superb 119 in his 2nd was great to watch.

I was already very proud of the guy, I'm extra proud to hear he is a die-hard Yiddo
